Here is the latest instance of a Republican trying to take credit for the benefits of the Covid Relief Bill that they voted against.

And naturally, the lie was told by none other than Madison Cawthorn, the fringe GOP flavor of the month.
The original 'stolen legislation valor' was perpetrated by Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi, who touted benefits to restaurant workers DESPITE VOTING AGAINST THE BILL.

Here was another instance in which GOP Rep. Maria Salazar played some games with timing and semantics in order to mislead her constituents that she had a part in passing Covid Relief.

She didn't.
And then there was GOP Rep. Mike Garcia, trying to convince his constituents that he had some influence over the stimulus checks that went to so many Americans.

He didn't.

We have new entries into the 'stolen legislative valor' database.

This time it's Long Island GOP Congressmen Lee Zeldin and Andrew Garbarino trying to take credit for MTA and LIRR funding despite voting *against* the Covid bill that actually granted it.

nypost.com/2021/04/03/li-…
Here's yet another Republican member of Congress promoting - and subtly trying to take credit for - something that they voted against:

Here we go again.

Now it's Mike Pence's brother Greg Pence trying to take credit for things in the Covid Relief bill THAT HE VOTED AGAINST.

The Restaurant Revitalization Fund is just exposing one Republican hypocrite after another.

Claudia Tenney voted AGAINST this proposal which she is now seeking to promote:

Now it’s GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik’s turn.

280 characters in a tweet and she couldn’t spare any to inform her constituents that she voted AGAINST
the Reataurant Revitalization Fund that she is now promoting.
Republicans are actively trying to take credit for what every single one of them tried to politicize, obstruct and derail:

The Democrats' massively popular Covid Relief Bill.

Don't let these hypocrites get away with it.

apnews.com/article/person…
Guess who is trying to take credit *for* Covid Relief legislation that they voted *against*?

None other than Mitch McConnell.

Important for everyone to know what hypocrites these people are.

Nice.

Joe Biden has been keeping his own list of Republicans who voted against the Covid Relief Bill yet are trying to take credit for it.

We won't forget. Image

Watching @AOC's live Instagram feed right now and she's relaying how she was hiding in her office bathroom as the Insurrectionists were elsewhere in her office screaming "WHERE IS SHE?! WHERE IS SHE?!"

She was mere moments - and yards - away from losing her life.
Okay the story just gets weirder. The man who was yelling that with so much hostility was actually Capitol Police Officer. So hostile that she wasn't sure whose side this officer was on.
The Capitol Police Officer told her and her staff member to go to a certain area in the building. But it only brought them closer to ground level where a lot of the chaos was.

She was truly fearful for her life during all of this.

WHAT?!?!

]Rep. Mikie Sherrill is saying that GOP House members "led groups of people through the Capitol Building on a 'reconnaissance' mission one day before the riot that laid a deadly siege on the government's legislative branch."

You read that right.northjersey.com/story/news/pol…
It never occurred to me that GOP Congressmen would've taken some of these people on a tour of the Capitol before their arrival.

But now it makes total sense.

If true, those members of Congress must be expelled ASAP.
Per comments from @sportsidiocracy and @carogonza it stands to reason that - if true - there would be video footage of these guided tours from 1/5 with members of Congress/staff and the 1/6 insurrectionists.

GOOD!

MORE OF THIS!

Trump's insurrection is costing the GOP voters.

"In Miami-Dade...more than 7X as many Republicans as Democrats changed their party registrations in the aftermath of the violence. The ratio was almost as high in Palm Beach County."
sun-sentinel.com/news/politics/…
A *2nd* data point to show that the GOP is hemorrhaging voters.

In Orange County, CA, they "lost 8x more voters than it gained after the violence in D.C., with 600 GOP voters lost from Wednesday to Friday".

They *gained* voters the month prior.
ocregister.com/2021/01/10/sou…
And now a 3rd instance of reporting from Pennsylvania:

"Staff reported a spike in phone inquiries after Wednesday’s riots, and 'virtually all the people calling were people saying ‘I no longer want to be a Republican, how I do change it.’”

Next up is the story that started it all:

The revelation that Perdue had taken information given to him as a Senator during a Covid briefing to invest in a company making PPE.

businessinsider.com/coronavirus-da…
Next up is the revelation that Perdue used info from his position as Chairman of an Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower to acquire up to $190K worth of stock in a company that worked on - wait for it - submarines.

*2,596*

That's the number of stock trades David Perdue has made in *one* Senate term.

And many of those trades were in companies impacted by his committee oversight role.

This dude is as crooked as it gets.

We must help Jon @Ossoff win.
