ENJOYING RESURRECTION POWER - DELE OLAWANLE

In Matthew 28, we saw that some women got to the sepulcher but Jesus was not there. He had risen. The grave could not hold him captive. He resurrected and is alive forevermore. The fact that his name works means that he is not dead.

He is alive forevermore. When we call on him, he answers us.

Whenever we talk of Jesus, he needs appreciation not a pity party. We have to rejoice that our Saviour lives for ever. It is good to reflect on his death and not to mourn. Why should you mourn someone that is alive?

Some religious people are trying to recreate sorrow, pain and the evil that happened to Jesus over 2000 years ago. It is wrong, it is absurd, it is pure ignorance. Jesus had risen and he is alive forever. If that is your belief, then rejoice and tap into the power of

Resurrection.That is what this article is about.

Now, to enjoy Resurrection Power, we must know him more.

“I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death”Philippians 3:10.

So, do the following:

LOVE PEOPLE GENUINELY

There is so much hypocrisy in the world. If you love people genuinely, you will not hurt them or plan to hurt them. Jesus loved till the end.

JOHN 13:1

“Before the Passover celebration, Jesus knew that his hour had come to leave this world and return to his Father. He had loved his disciples during his ministry on earth, and now he loved them to the very end”

Let us respect relationships and be reluctant to break them. Let us love without hypocrisy One can be easily misunderstood. They misunderstood Jesus but he loved regardless. They will misunderstand you but love them regardless if you want to enjoy the power of resurrection.

FORGIVE EASILY

Forgiveness can be a struggle. One of the things I learnt from my late mother was her ability to forgive easily. One of the signs that you are a man or woman with the Spirit of God is to be able to forgive easily. It draws the power of God to us.

It makes the Holy Spirit to work in our lives. It makes us effective. People will hurt us and badly many times but to allow that to dominate our lives and thoughts will hurt us physically (health wise) and spiritually.

Holding on to offences weakens the potency of the Holy Spirit. That is why the devil wants us to do it regularly so that we can become less and less effective. Unforgiveness is bitter and the Holy Spirit is so sweet. I prefer the latter.

Get out of the prison called bitterness and unforgiveness. In Luke 23:32-34, the thief on the left wanted to corner Jesus at the last minute before his death but Jesus was wiser.

“And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots”

Look at where Jesus was and he was forgiving. You have not gotten to Golgotha but yet, you are so filled with bitterness that it is affecting everything around you. Be delivered today in Jesus name.

Jesus was at the edge of breakthrough to become the Saviour but Satan in the guise of the thief on the left annoyed Jesus. He could have lost it. If you don’t learn to forgive, you may lose in this life and also miss eternity.

BE HOLY and BE PEACEFUL

HEBREWS 12:14

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord”

Jesus was a holy man and a man of peace.
The anointing works in holiness and tranquility.

Go and look at many men and women whom God used mightily, they were holy. They were meek and very peaceful. They don’t do an eye for an eye.

John 18:10-11

“Then Simon Peter drew a sword and slashed off the right ear of Malchus, the high priest’s slave.

11 But Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword back into its sheath. Shall I not drink from the cup of suffering the Father has given me?”

You want to enjoy resurrection power? Follow the example of Jesus. That evil that you are planning and the conspiracy you are

joining even in the house of God, even against his servants, is it of God? You know the answer. Stop it! Don’t waste your destiny.

BE HUMBLE

To enjoy the power of resurrection, be humble friends and it flows from that your heart. So, guide your heart with all diligence.

Pride flows from the heart.

Proverb 4:23

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it”

Also, in JAMES 4:5-7:

“Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the spirit he has placed within us should be faithful to

him. And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” So, humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”. You can package yourself or your ministry, you cannot package the grace of God.

He gives it to the humble.

In 1 Samuel 2:3, it says we should stop boasting and stop being proud. “Do not go on boasting so very proudly, Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth;For the Lord is a God of knowledge, And by Him actions are weighed”.

God wants to use you but learn humility.

DRAW CLOSER TO GOD

Finally, to enjoy the power of resurrection, spend more quality time with God. Fast, pray and study the word more. Your face will be like that of Jesus. Flee from sin and if you have sinned, repent.

God will forgive you even if men don’t. Meditate and be intentional about the anointing and the power rather than things that will perish. .

James 4:8-10

“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts,

for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor”

JESUS DIED AND RESURRECTED. THE CROSS IS EMPTY, THE GRAVE IS EMPTY AND THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH IS FILLED WITH HIS GLORY. YOU NEED TO ENJOY AND DEMONSTRATE THE POWER THAT CAME WITH HIS RESURRECTION!
