Bookings for those eligible in Phase 2B for COVID-19 immunization are underway. Today, Albertans eligible to book through AHS online or through Health Link 811 include those with underlying health conditions born in or before 1963. bit.ly/2R3L0Fv
Phase 2B represents approximately 650,000 Albertans and is the largest eligible group to date. If 811 rings busy, or you are unable to access the online tool, please try back later in the day as volumes are high.
Eligible Albertans can also book their COVID-19 immunization at participating pharmacies by visiting ab.bluecross.ca/news/covid-19-…
We understand the process of booking a COVID-19 immunization appointment may be stressful for some and sometimes this leads to high emotions. Please know all our teams are doing their best to book as many Albertans in to get immunized as quickly as possible.
We appreciate your patience as we work to ensure all Albertans are immunized as soon as possible.

AHS is aware that some vaccine clinics in Alberta are experiencing long line ups of individuals waiting to receive their vaccine. Everyone is eager to receive their immunization. All those who have booked their appointments will be vaccinated.
We have added additional staff and signage at sites to encourage people with appointments to wait in their vehicles until their appointment times.
Each appointment is booked in 10-minute increments. This helps ensure we can maintain social distancing at all immunization clinics. Some individuals are arriving at appointments 30 – 60 minutes in advance, and as a result, wait lines are forming outside some of the facilities.
