I’m irritated. A 🧵 1/ I’m irritated that @fordnation and @Sflecce maintain the narrative that “schools are safe...it’s community spread!” FYI...schools ARE communities. And they are IN communities. And there is COVID in them. So stop expecting people 2 believe it’s not #onted
2/ I’m irritated that they continue to hope that the majority of Ontario’s residents are too out of touch with reality to see through their half measures. Ontario is also a community. And it’s growing increasingly savvy.
3/ I’m irritated by a press conference in a crises that was meant more to give Ontario politicians a pat on their own backs, and blame its citizens for the problems we have now, when all leadership and decisive action seems to have taken an extended leave.
4/ I’m irritated/irate that spread is rampant, & the wealthiest areas get the most vaccines and the most at-risk areas get the fewest. People are being paid a lot of $ to figure out how to roll out vaccines, is it too much to expect that they do a good job? #CheckTheFreezerDoug
5/ I’m irritated/irate that unions are being blamed for school closures when the people who ARE doing their job (Dr. Loh, I’m looking at you...better late than never!) put their people and communities before politics.
6/ I’m irritated that a man in leadership would leave malls open, & do nothing to enforce caps, & would then blame his citizens for going to that mall (and leave without bags...’c’mon, at least spend your money folks!’)
7/ I’m irritated that only in #onted does #onpoli seem to talk about how many cases their AREN’T (using make believe numbers, no less) than how many cases there ARE. Because those cases that ARE...represent real lives being impacted.
8/ I’m irritated by the announcement of announcements. I’m just SO tired of that. ICUs are full. Front line medical professionals r worn out. This didn’t have to be this way. People are dying, families being torn apart. Stop feeling out the climate, and do your damn job.
9/ I am so very, very irritated by the fact that, even when things get this bad, politics always seem come before people. #Onted#onpoli

I’m confused about so many things. I’m confused about why we are told schools are safe, yet virtual learning is an option - and a popular one. I’m confused about being told that 95% of schools have had improvements to ventilation, yet 100% of the ones I’ve spoken to have not.1/?
I’m confused about being told AGAIN that schools are the safest place for students to be, yet high school students get to attend only 25% of the time. 2/?
I’m confused about how 2 of three hot zones are told to continue with a stay at home order, but kids in those regions have been told to go back to school. I’m confused as to why the third hot zone region, with numbers at least as bad as the others, 3/?
