Interestingly Boardman is responsible for seeing that govt contracts & business was carried out properly - so in a sense Boardman has now been tasked with investigating his - and his employer’s - the Govt - own failure.

Still Boardman has plenty of experience on business ethics as a senior partner at the company - Slaughter & May - that was named as behind the most brutal fee gouging that saw millions extracted from Carillion just hours before company went bankrupt.
