Video thread: Here's @BrookeBaldwin's sign-off from @CNN after almost 11 years at the helm of the weekday afternoon @CNNNewsroom. It started with a really cool look-back at all the big stories she's covered in her career (1/)
After the end of the recap, @BrookeBaldwin reveals that "my show here on CNN was not originally supposed to be mine" and she was only meant to serve as fill-in host for one week. She then went onto list a number of stories she's covered (many of them framed from the left) (2/)
Talking about Biden's press conference, @BrookeBaldwin says in her closing message to viewers: "When I saw all of those women recently one after another after another, these White House correspondents...standing up...I was on my feet cheering them on." (3/)
.@BrookeBaldwin's last words on CNN were to women listening: "[W]hatever industry you are in, my parting words get a little uncomfortable, speak up, and keep pushing. I'm Brooke Baldwin here in New York, and I cannot wait to have you join me on our journey together." (4/4)

All the people on the far, far right upset about this would be saying something very different if Babbitt were an Antifa or BLM rioter. They would be defending the officer for protecting himself and the Speaker if it were Kevin McCarthy.
Video of her trying to climb through the window was shown during the impeachment trial. She's in the top right corner. Any leftist (or non-Trump supporter) trying to climb through a window to the Speaker wouldn't be afforded this same defense from some corners of the right.
The lack of ideological consistency is off the charts. If this were a BLM person, the people in my replies and also attacking @EWErickson would be going full Back The Blue. You don't break into the Capitol, break glass, and try to climb thru to get to the Speaker w/o consequences
THREAD: Here we go with Don Lemon's chyrons and facial expressions during his new opening rant about gun control.
CNN's day started with the claim that #2A supporters like mass shootings, and it's ending with this rhetorical bile.
I mean, this is such a massive 👖 on 🔥 that it'd require an entire inventory from a jeans factory to account for the pairs that would have to be lit on fire.
The claim that it's easier to get a gun than vote should be an early frontrunner for post-Trump lie of the year
No, Americans are not afraid of democracy, Don.
Americans fear a tyrannical government that hates them and wants to confiscate their legal firearms.
This is one of those statements where performance art is dangerous. You tell riled up viewers that the other side *likes* mass shootings and what do you expect to happen? You hear anecdotally about people cutting off friends and family with different views. This stuff is to blame
I like Berman. He's funny and jokey, which is something we need more of in this world. In particular, more CNN colleagues need to ascribe to this.
I know I say it all the time, but I'll say it again -- with people like Don Lemon in such a prominent position, if you're on the right, CNN truly hates you. They hate what you think, how you vote, and how you live your lives.
Cuomo, gaslighting: "There are often many motivations for making an allegation and that is why you need to know the facts before you make a decision...Politicians who don't know a single fact but yet form a conclusion and an opinion are in my opinion reckless and dangerous." (1/)
Cuomo: "People know the difference between playing politics, bowing to cancel culture and the truth...I am not going to resign. I was not elected by the politicians. I was elected by the people."
He goes onto add he must be a good guy b/c he's won so many elections (2/)
Cuomo insists he didn't do what's alleged b/c "I have been in the public eye my entire life" and then attacks anyone criticizing him by saying "an opinion without facts is irresponsible" and said the state review will then allow people to have "an intelligent conversation" (3/)
OMG Fox News had an on again and off again bug in the corner of #Tucker's live facial expressions during Biden's speech
Here's more of Fox News's live bug showing #Tucker Carlson's live facial reactions to Biden's speech.
It's already triggered Stelter and his pals who want to send every last Fox News staffer to unemployment, so you know they hit a nerve.
#Tucker's face was just priceless when Biden said that, if everyone behaves themselves, he'll allow us to gather in small groups....for the 4th of July
