When I was a kid and my parents got divorced we immediately became lower- middle class to near-poor snd stayed there all the way through my mid 20s.
It took me becoming a solo-entrepreneur and then building a business for my family to become middle class, then upper middle class

What I reflect on is that it didn’t need to be that way and that a small about of knowledge would haven’t went further than a windfall of resources.
People hate when I say that, but it was the knowledge I used to transform our lives.

It’s not that things shouldn’t change or ppl are undeserving of help. That’s irrelevant.
The harsh truth for most of us is that you won’t get help or it won’t get there in time.

My best advice is what I learned I. The previous recession.
Learn skills that pay well thar you can earn from w/o traditional employment, focus on CASH FLOW and make it a priority.
Have a side hustle instead of a hobby. And obsess over financial literacy.

Make learning your leisure activity. I abandoned TV and read books, listened to podcasts.
When I wasn’t working on my mind I was working on my body.
If I wanted to “relax” I went for a walk or played with the dogs.
I went to Barnes and Noble for FREE all day on the weekends.

Living life intentionally was what changed life for me. It was incremental.
But I could have done it sooner and suffered less if I had just considered changing how I was operating.
I was trying to make a bad circumstance more comfortable, instead of actually changing it.

The problem is you have to realize that YOU have to undergo a transformation, a financial journey is just like a fitness one.
It’s painful, and the root of it is habits, changing what you consume and being intentional and consistent.

I prioritized debt and fixing my credit with free information.
I spent my free time earning more to pay down debt or save, and when I wasn’t I was learning high paying skills.
I stopped buying THINGS and invested in RESOURCES to help me earn more or spend less.
