Covid restrictions weren’t introduced until end of November and expanded mid December.

How many people died because of that TWO MONTH delay?

Was the objective to sacrifice some Albertan’s lives so that owners of restaurants, casinos and gyms could continue to take in profits?

Alberta’s healthcare system was stressed to the max from mid December to mid January.

Kenney didn’t want to shut down retail at Christmas? Profit over people’s lives.

Wow! That’s criminally negligent on top of un-Christian at Christmas callous and avaricious and consequentialist ethical reasoning.

Kenney chose the economy and his donors over Albertan’s lives.

While I had suspected this, having it confirmed is nauseating and repugnant.

How many people died between October to January that didn’t need to die? How many are sick for the rest of their lives?

It is repulsive to think this is who is running this province.

A man who claims devout Catholic faith, but ignored the reason for the season and enabled covid to spread until it literally was at the breaking point for healthcare. To boost the economy. Wow! Stunning!

As soon as hospital numbers came down a bit, restrictions were lifted.

Is it any wonder covid is again surging in the third wave? How much longer must Alberta be subject to repeated waves of covid brought on by govt neglect of evidence & ideological bias for profits over lives?

When Ontario announced it was moving into a third wave, Alberta should have imposed stern restrictions to prevent as many infections as possible.

But Kenney chose to stay open until today, April 21st.

Grace Life church shenanigans, restaurant owners refusing to abide by covid restrictions, police who won’t enforce public health orders, federal MPs and far right media demonstrations, and a premier catering to liberty ideology and the refusal to accept reality.

I’m not ashamed of the premier. I’m feeling quite threatened.

And I’m getting squirrelly from being restricted to my home for 13 months. Thankfully the weather is cooperating and I can go outside.

How long are Albertans willing to put up with the intentional extension of covid? How long are those with minimal risks (under 50 and healthy) going to allow the govt to punish those of us with higher risk factors?

While I understand people’s ability to pay their bills and meet their basic needs is each citizen’s primary concern, those of us left in limbo, unable to move about at all due to risk factors, are going bonkers.

Please tell me the healthy younger citizens are not comfortable with the government holding those with risk factors hostage for an extended time frame so you personally don’t need to suffer any more than you already are?

Why are citizens obeying a cruel and sadistic, despotic and negligent, ideologue and Christian Nationalist extremist premier who is exacerbating covid at citizen’s expense?

Because this citizen is getting seriously annoyed that unless it seriously impacts people, permitting the premier and UCP to impose policy that punishes low income, essential workers and the health compromised is perfectly fine.

We need a zero covid strategy!

If all lives matter, then quit tacitly supporting the compromise and sacrifice of those most at risk. Thank you very much!
