You know, because I’ve dedicated so much of my life at this point to fighting injustice. I know as soon as I see something if it’s right or wrong.

What upsets me, is how easily one factor can make some of you justify our murder.

In America you have a right to defend yourself.

In America I’ve watched white men murder half a dozen Black people & be taken to jail.

Cops show restraint when they want to. They use less force over & over when they deal with white citizens.

Truth is, when this nation was founded it only saw white men as citizens.

So it has been etched into the minds of millions that a Black life is less worthy of restraint.

We are called animals for the same actions or less that whites do daily in America.

If you can justify shooting a teenager in the back instead of deescalation you don’t get it.

What’s the point in giving a cop a taser if all they use is guns on Black people?

Truth is, they kill us with their knee, a gun, a flash light, or whatever else & someone always finds a way to say it was justified.

Let me also say, there is a culture in our communities that must be addressed. Far too many of us allow young people to escalate situations that could be stopped.

Both are wrong. This nation is too violent & some of us just sit back & watch until it’s too late.

I want Black children to grow up & become adults. I want them to live successful lives, grow old, & die of natural causes.

I get sick of watching Black people die at the hands of bullets. No matter who the killer is.

Can we just live damnit!

That’s it. Just let us live.
