Sky News and the protesters are different wings of the same organisation.

Don't forget it.
Within months of having been formed, XR were invited to give evidence to Parliamentary committees, and had an hour long meeting with @michaelgove, in which he agreed with nearly everything their said.
Here's XR founder Gail Bradbrook speaking to the @beisgovuk committee.
And here's @michaelgove meeting XR weirdos, and promising to ignore our interests in favour of their demands.

Politicians from *ALL* political parties were falling over themselves to seem to be on XR's side.

So all those nice middle class, middle-aged ladies who are out today, were sanctioned by all political parties, and all of the UK news media.

That's how they got their view of the world.

The government and the media said "look at this wonderful, planet-saving movement!"
Compare it to the venom, hostility and smears that the government, civil society, and media throw at anyone who challenges the green agenda, to ask how our interests are served by #NetZero and the rest.
XR are just the performance-art wing of the ecological state.

They may look like opponents of banks and governments.

But banks can easily afford new windows for window dressing. They love greens.

Can you afford a heat pump? Can you afford an EV?
You can't?

Well, tough. You'll be forced to refit your home, whether you can afford it or not.

And if you can't afford an EV, you'll have to walk or depend on shitty public transport.

That's why banks love greens.
How can that be?! Am I mad?!

Do the simple arithmetic:

Cost of replacing 18 new windows (est): ~£36,000.

Cost of #NetZero: £1,000,000,000,000 - £10,000,000,000,000.

Available funds for #NetZero transition: £0.00.

Borrowing requirement: (see cost).

Welcome to endless debt.
The green blob will be extracting tens to hundreds of £thousands out of each and every home in the UK, for the privilege of living in that home.

The economics of private transport will change such that people on low to medium incomes will no longer be mobile.
You will be forced to borrow, and the state will borrow and you will be forced to pay for it, for spending on things that will produce no net benefit -- i.e. #NetZero -- to you, to society or to 'the planet'.

It is a debt trap that will make your children their serfs. Forever.

This is "the personal is political", rescued from the 1970s.

I.e., let virtue signalling obscure awareness of your material interests, to let bogus grievance mongers and race-baiters award themselves endless privileges at your expense.

She & Femi are deeply ignorant.
You might be a socialist black man, or a capitalist Asian woman. But Femi and this TikToker want to claim that the black man and Asian woman should not discuss their political ideas, only the colour of their skin.
In order to do this, they have invented the idea of political parties 'openly' {sic} representing racism/homophobia/misogyny.

This reduces politics to a battle between identities, to displace democratic contest between ideas about how society & the economy should be managed.

It is bland ecological platitudes day.

Expect bland ecological platitudes...

But no explanation about what organising the world around bland ecological platitudes actually means.

#EarthDay
They will say "future generations...".

But they won't tell you what degree of sacrifice you're expected to make for 'future generations', nor what kind of thinking they have used to find a 'balance' between people who exist and people who do not exist. You don't get a say.
They will say "sustainable/sustainability" a lot. But they won't be able to say what burden making everything 'sustainable' means for you. Because if you object to vague waffle about 'sustainability' that means you want things to be unsustainable, right? And that's crazy!

It's a law against the material interests of the British population, mandating the further transfer of wealth and political power away from them, towards special interests.

If it doesn't get repealed, it will lead to conflict.
You can set all the targets you like, and dress it up in as many nice-sounding words as so many wonks can generate. But none of it has been backed by a single vote, and it is the single most regressive act since the Inclosures.
The reversal of economic growth and suffrage has consequences.

Don't say nobody told you.

Ecological mysticism: "COVID-19 is not a random event. It is a symptom of a global economic system that is destroying the living planet and killing off our magnificent wildlife."

Thousands will cheer him. Mostly from positions of historically unprecedented levels of affluence. The claim surely cannot be denied.
Monbiot: "Around three-quarters of new diseases that infect humans come from other animals. In the case of COVID-19, scientists believe the virus originated in the wild bat population before being transmitted to humans."

"I have no idea what someone's intention was, but I am going to call them a white supremacist racist for using an emoji anyway. Because that's much easier."
He thinks Fox should be aware of the hidden racism encoded in an emoji, but not that he should have tried to understand Fox's statement before pronouncing on it.

In the past, signifiers of racism were:

* claims that other races are inferior
* arguments that others are less deserving of legal status
* campaigns to expel people of certain races

Today, signifiers of racism include:
* use of an emoji
* not having read a shit book.
