Ravi Shankar Prasad addressing the session- I have noted with great assurance that Institutions of panches are still working, we as a law makers don’t give them the needful importance and it is a very powerful way of resolving.
Prasad- Going little to the Cultural history of India, Lord Krishna also tried Mediation to avert Mahabharata,
Prasad- I see the data available one area is where it has shown some improvement is in matrimonial disputes and Delhi High Court has played crucial role in it.
Former Chief Justice of India Deepak Mishra addressing the ceremony- Mediation, I cannot afford to forget an old saying, every case has a human face, when you solve a problem the satisfaction should be the same for all the person.
Justice Mishra- Our ancients had a system and those people who used to solve the problem, they were expert of their wisdom, they knew how to influence a person.
Justice Mishra- A skilled, talented Mediator, I’m emphasising on 3 skills 1. A mediator must understand not only that he is philosopher, But he must have Psychographical strength. 2. He must have the tremendous patience, art to listen. 3. He must have number of alternatives.
Justice Mishra- 3 aspencts shall be in the mind of litigants, that the Mediation puts an end to the litigation, the settlement in most cases brings a inter generational amity and in commercial disputes in controversy gets settled it builds up a bridge for future partnership.
Justice Mishra- Mediation is a pain killer, it heals you.
Justice Mishra- I must tell Through many years the central government has taken several steps for Mediation.

#SupremeCourt CJI Bobde led bench to hear suo motu cognizance taken by it over the issue of the critical situation arising due to shortage in supply of oxygen to hospitals in the Capital and also of the shortage of life-saving drugs.
Yesterday, SupremeCourt took Suo motu with regard to the Supply of oxygen, Supply of Essential Drugs, the method and manner of Vaccination and the power to declare the lockdown. “We want the power to lockout with the State Government not by a judicial order,” said the Court.
