#SupremeCourt Justice NV Ramana going to take oath at 11 AM today as the 48th Chief Justice of India.

Swearing-in-ceremony started with the National Anthem. President of India will administer oath to the office of the CJI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi present along with Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Justice Ramana swear in the name of god/ solemnly affirm to “bear true faith and allegiance to Constitution of India as by law established; uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India; duly and faithfully and to the best of [his] ability,
Justice Ramana- knowledge and judgement perform the duties of the office without fear or favour, affection or ill-will and uphold the Constitution and the laws”.

#SupremeCourt CJI Bobde led bench to hear suo motu cognizance taken by it over the issue of the critical situation arising due to shortage in supply of oxygen to hospitals in the Capital and also of the shortage of life-saving drugs.
Yesterday, SupremeCourt took Suo motu with regard to the Supply of oxygen, Supply of Essential Drugs, the method and manner of Vaccination and the power to declare the lockdown. “We want the power to lockout with the State Government not by a judicial order,” said the Court.
