Bram Health-care Private Limited and Batra Hospital & Medical Research Centre moves Delhi High Court on issue relating to shortage of oxygen. Hearing is underway. Bram health care urges Court to issue direction to supply 125-150 oxygen cylinder.
Delhi Govt counsel Rahul Mehra says things are moving in the right direction and it will take time to streamline, we must give time to Centre and Railway for it.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta tells the Court about the meeting of PM with various CMs. SG tells HC that PM has directed every state not to interfere with free flow of oxygen. He also tells HC that every state had agreed not to interfere with the free flow of oxygen.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta tells High Court that Central has a control room which interacts with nodal officer of State and Centre has decided to add few more officers to the control room. SG suggests that the petitioner shall move to Delhi nodal officer first.
Delhi High Court suggests Delhi Government that as a large number of people are calling on a single number of nodal officer which is already circulated, at least circulate 3-4 more numbers.
Siddharth Dave, Senior advocate representing Batra Hospital, apprised the court that it has 160 patients in ICU and others in the ward, says that the hospital has COVID reserved facility and require at least 7000-8000 litres of oxygen.

Delhi High Court notes that there is an improvement in supply of oxygen but there is some shortage of 100 MT per day in the national capital.
Delhi High Court notes Oxygen allocation is done by Centre. HC says that it has put it before the SG that the empowered group could look at the possibility of making re allocation to reduce the distance & the same would make the process of transportation to & from more efficient.
High Court suggests to Delhi Govt Health Secretary to examine the entire allocation plan and make a suggestion and place it before the central government and the committee without any delay. High Court says that it will be examined by the empowered group at the earliest.

PM Narendra Modi chaired high-level meeting on #COVID19 situation with CMs of 11 states and UTs which have reported maximum number of cases recently. PM assured Centre’s full support to all states: Prime Minister's Office (PMO)
PM added that the Ministry of Health is also in touch with the states and is monitoring the situation closely and issuing necessary advice to the states from time to time: Prime Minister's Office (PMO)

Supreme Court starts hearing the suo motu cognisance case on #COVID19 crisis, it will also examine the judicial power of High Courts to declare lockdown.

A three-judge bench of the Court, headed by CJI SA Bobde is hearing the case.
"People are dying due to lack of oxygen," CJI Sharad Arvind Bobde observed.
"Please permit to recuse from the case," senior advocate, Harish Salve said and pleaded to withdraw from the as amicus curiae.
