Many may acknowledge the strengths of Nehru Gandhi family but may still have doubt whether Rahul has it in him to lead and fight against Modi & defeat BJP.

We are inclined to believe that his potential is doubtful or deceptive unless proved.
Post facto ‘predictions’ are easy.
/1
When we refuse to see the truth or read signals correctly we deceive ourselves. But we conclude that the strength of the individuals or issues are deceptive.

We fail to apply logic and sense to every aspect of successes, failures, information but jump to conclusions.
/2
The successes and failures are decided by many factors. They should not be seen or compared in isolation. Circumstances and challenges before Rahul and Congress were many.
When Rajiv took over Congress organisation strength was better. When Rahul took over it was in bad shape.
/3
The transition to Rahul is happening under difficult circumstances. The Gordian knot has to be untied patiently and carefully.

It has fallen on his ‘young’ shoulders as many view it. The challenges posed by the Modi regime was massive. Rahul had to rely solely on his vision.
/4
The credibility of Rahul and his image has grown immensely in spite of the unrelenting onslaughts from all sides.
The entire Congress party, its supporters are behind him now. Nonpartisan people are also now seeing him as a better alternative.
That is not a small achievement.
/5
How did it come about? It was not sourced from other planets. It was due to Rahul’s inherent abilities, efforts & application of mind using available limited resources.
Maybe, his strengths were deceptive for others. It was not so for Rahul. He had a clear mind, plans, vision.
/6
We tend to overlook the fact that the many positives and characteristics of the Nehru Gandhi family would be part of Rahul.

Further, he must have had endless inputs as part of the family with various interactions, anecdotes, episodes they have come across. They have a value.
/7
Rahul is also aware of history and is a great listener and thinker.
He updates himself on all issues. His application of mind, logic and sense is very strong. He simply refuses to accept what he considers as nonsense.
That brings him his clarity of mind and vision.
/8
He does not reveal himself. That way one can say he was deceptive. But even now his interactions appear more in the media. So people get to know him and his strengths.

The Nehru Gandhi family were never publicity conscious to promote themselves. That also applies to Rahul.
/9
They freely interact with all sections of people from the ground level. They do not just talk but listen. They know the pulse of the people including those who are around & who want to surround them.

This again a characteristic that is part of them & comes naturally to them.
/10
They do not encourage sycophants using their proximity to gain what they may or may not deserve. So they maintain diplomatic silence just to not hurt leaders but send across the message. They may be attentive but still playing with dogs. But leaders should understand.
/11
Rahul did reveal himself many times by his gentle, subtle & his characteristic listening mode.
He has that deft touch, respecting seniors, giving everyone their space still holding on to his views explaining the reasons.
These are great virtues very much visible but ignored.
/12
People still refuse to come out of their negative mindset and ask whether such great virtues will produce results.
For the present positivity is to concentrate on adopting the right process. If that is done it will produce positive results.
Rahul is setting the course right.

We love reading about the heroic achievements of Gandhiji and other heroes.
Gandhiji’s followers were not experimenting with truth like him. But they were experiencing the truth and enjoying that path.
Rahul is following Gandhiji’s footsteps and is practising the truth.
/1
It is not possible or necessary to do what Gandhiji did. One need not indulge in ‘Experiments with truth’ like him to reach his exalted status.
But the Congress party and its leaders can try to retrace the Gandhian path. Maybe, they are too conscious of their status to do it.
/2
If Gandhiji was self-conscious about his status he would not have become a symbol of simplicity with half dhoti; would not have achieved what he had with his moral courage in pursuing truth, leading the people.

Rahul has such courage to lead people on the right path.

The blames, criticisms, insults, indignities piled on the Nehru Gandhi family are unlimited. This is in spite of their sacrifices, two with their own lives in service of our country and people.
In this land of dharmas, values and truth, 'yudhs' are also waged against them.
/1
Even if purely political it is way too unethical and totally unjustified.
But it is not always political forces but the vested interests with ulterior motives, agendas corrupting the minds of innocents and ignorants with jealousy, prejudices but bereft of truth, logic, reason.
/2
The only fault of the Nehru, Gandhi family or the ‘dynasty’ as they call them, is their care and concern for the country, its people and their continued connectivity, bonding with people, the response, respect they get from them.
This hurts and blocks few vested interests.

Those who have hold or influence with the masses and the party become leaders.
They should not dictate just because of their massive influence. They are to share responsibility with others.
A functional democracy should prevail for evolving right decisions through discussions.
/1
Though such processes were there, there were also attempts by overambitious politicians to disproportionately influence, change, disrupt majority decisions by fomenting disaffection, divides and exploiting inherent or imposed insecurities and ignorance of the people.
/2
This was invariably so when the power shift happens; when leaders see scope for usurping power.
Indira experienced it when she was elected by the party to lead the country. The senior leaders wanted to exercise influence beyond their weight. But one has to earn people’s trust.

Anyone becoming a part of a family is accidental. It just happens. It is also true for Gandhi family.
When they are elected by a party or people they are dynasts, but not others.
It is unfair and contradictory to call India the largest democracy and Gandhi family a ‘dynasty’.
/1
Rajiv, Sonia were not keen but Indira needed their support so made entry. Nehru carefully avoided indicating his successor. It was only the destiny that decided the course, not the ‘dynasty’.
In a democracy everything is possible. A seller of tea or lies can become a dictator.
/2
What matters is how the leader concerned functions whether as a democrat or a dynast or a dictator.

In a truly functional democracy, there cannot be a dynast or dictator if its independent institutions freely, fairly discharge their duty professionally safeguarding democracy.

The cancer cells of Hindutva were reared, nurtured in the Hindutva lab of Gujarat in 2002. They could easily identify, produce and deploy 2 ‘gems’ now ruling the country. They can rub, cut, tear, shear anyone and anything. These ‘robots’ are made and meant to be heartless.
/1
RSS needed a mask of Vajpayee. But they removed the mask way back in 2002 for their experiments in Gujarat.
The virus naturally does not need a mask as it is counterproductive when its agenda is to exponentially grow into a full-blown communally divisive, destructive disease.
/2
Incidentally & accidentally India had a breathing space between NDA 1 and 2. Otherwise, the transition to fascism would have been complete long back.

It takes time to groom villains as heroes. They needed an incubation period & carriers like Anna Hazare to spread the disease.

It is really incomprehensible and unrealistic for Modi, Shah to tolerate all efforts needed to keep up with this farce of democracy, elections, campaigning, seeking votes, when the Kingdom with all powers are in their hands with people begging for mercy & are ready to oblige.
/1
They are expending all their patience to wait unjustifiably for the total conversion into a fascist state. But they are quite adept at adapting to all situations.
They are trying to manage with their version of Democracy or Realpolitik, based on practicality not on morality.
/2
Modi, Shah are shrewd enough to understand that when they are in the business of democracy, they are to push right buttons at the right time to make optimum use of resources to manufacture majority.
They cannot be in a hurry as they are to deal with people in addition to EVMs.
