Bench led by Chief Justice Dipankar Datta of #BombayHighCourt is hearing a plea alleging the improper management of #COVID19 medical treatment in Maharashtra.
The Bench was informed by BMC that they have requisite supply of oxygen and beds. Remdesivir is also being stocked up, they had a limited stock available.

CJ: Although the PIL is confined the jurisdiction of the BMC, we want to be apprised of the situation in the State. Hence an appropriate affidavit is expected from all respondents.
Court (to ASG): You are the authority for Remdesivir. Show us the papers which has numbers of allocation of #REMDESEVIR to Maharashtra. Even today we are at the top. We are not going to rely on media reports, you show from your record.
Justice Kulkarni: There was a news report that a political personality distributed 10000 vials. How was that possible? When people are running from pillar to post, when Delhi is itself in need… How could he airlift?
Advocate Rajesh Inamdar intervenes and points out orders of the other High Courts where they had observed that private parties were procuring the drugs.
CJ: So we will also look into it and if we find out that there are private companies procuring it, then we will injunct them.
ASG Anil Singh states that it is but a media report and should not be relied upon.
CJ: We want drugs to reach every citizens, so we will also monitor. And we are not relying on the media reports, but those reports give us an idea of what is happening.

CJ: Since #SupremeCourt has taken cognizance before you filed the petition, you can approach them. You cannot keep filing petitions. We are alive to the situation and are hauling up the centre and state governments for providing better treatment to the people.
