PM Narendra Modi chaired a meeting with top officials to review the Covid-19 relation situation in the country. The Empowered Group working on boosting Oxygen Supply briefed the PM on the efforts being made to ramp up availability and supply of oxygen in the country: PMO
PM instructed the officials to work closely with state governments to start the PSA Oxygen plants at the earliest. Officers also apprised the PM that they are encouraging states to also set up PSA Oxygen plants: Prime Minister's Office
Empowered Group working on Medical Infrastructure & Covid management briefed PM on efforts being undertaken to ramp up availability of beds/CUs. PM stressed that specific guidelines & strategies evolved regarding Covid management needs to be properly implemented: PMO
Empowered Group working on communication informed PM on the efforts being undertaken to improve awareness among people. PM was briefed about the functioning of the Oxygen Express, domestic sorties & international sorties undertaken by IAF to transport oxygen tankers: PMO
It was discussed that the production of LMO in the country has increased from 5700 MT/day in August 2020 to the present 8922 MT (on 25th April 2021). The domestic production of LMO is expected to cross 9250 MT/day by the end of April 2021: PMO

Delhi High Court begins hearing the petitions relating to various issues arising due to rise of #COVID19 cases in the national capital. Image
Senior Advocate Rahul Mehra, appearing for Delhi Govt, tells High Court that 20 MT (Oxygen) is kept with us as buffer to answer SOS calls, it will be in tanker in liquid form.
During the hearing, the Court expressed helplessness, when a lawyer told the court about the condition of his relative and demanded an ICU bed as soon as possible, the court said that we have sympathy with you at the moment, "what should we do if hospital doesn't have ICU beds".
