ANNOUNCEMENT: The Federal Executive Council (FEC) today approved the National Poverty Reduction with Growth Strategy (NPRGS): A strategy for accelerated reduction in poverty through economic growth, redistributive (i.e. Social Protection) programs and shared prosperity.
4. Redistributive Policies and Programmes (Social Protection)
The #NPRGS will support the Buhari Administration’s goal of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty within a decade.
A National Steering Committee (NSC), chaired by VP @ProfOsinbajo, shall be the overarching body for anchoring collaborative efforts across Federal MDAs, States and Local Govts, Development Partners, CSOs and private sector actors, for the implementation of the #NPRGS
The @FinMinNigeria shall serve as the Secretariat of the Steering Committee, and shall monitor the implementation of the decisions of the Committee. #NPRGS
The #NPRGS was developed by the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), chaired by Dr. Doyin Salami.

We have well over 13,000km of federal roads under repair, rehabilitation and reconstruction. There is a road project in every state, there is housing or civil work in every state. Minister of @FMWHNIG, @tundefashola.
We have completed over 4,000km of roads out of those 13,000km and we are adding more and planning to complete more.
Through the Zonal Intervention Programme, we are in hundreds of communities, we have deliver thousands of programmes based on request by parliamentarians; thousands of street lights especially solar and borehole projects to people who had to go to rivers in search of clean water.

The 6 new Federal Polytechnics established by the Federal Government in 2020 are located in Kaltungo, Gombe State; Ayede in Oyo State; Daura in Katsina State; Shendam in Plateau State; Ohodo in Enugu State, and Ugep in Cross River State.
The 6 new Federal Colleges of Education are located in Odugbo, Benue State; Isu, Ebonyi State; Ekiadolor, Edo State; Gidan Madi, Sokoto State; Jama’are, Bauchi State, and Iwo in Osun State.
