You probably have career strategies and some ideas about it.

There are different ideas around a career that you might have.

โœ”Skills
โœ”passions
โœ”goals

But which one is more important and you need to consider the most?
Let's talk about some of these ideas:

TRUE PASSION!

Do you think the key to having a satisfying job is first figuring out what you're passionate about and finding a job that matches this passion?

Although it is common advice, let me tell a story about it :
In 2005 Steve Jobs attended a speech and said, "Love what you do."

Interesting, same advice from a great man.

But that was what he said. What he did actually was a little different.
What was Steve Jobs' passion? Mobile phones and PCs?

No!

It was Buddhism. Yes!

If he followed his true passion, there wouldn't be IPhones and macs in your pockets or homes.

A little hard to think about, isn't it?
Instead ... The Apple founder went through a lot of ups and downs.

He chose to struggle. With all the obstacles, he didn't stop.

And made it to build an empire that is strong and alive, even after his death.

So is it going after a passion or building a unique skill?
Only 45% of Americans describe their jobs as satisfying.

It was 61% in 1987!

Interesting that with all the changes in the world, this number is steadily decreasing.

Don't you think it's the "finding your passion" thing that is killing the satisfaction indicates?

How?
If you think you need to follow your passion and "THEN" find a job that fits into that passion, you're setting yourself up for failure.

People with that mindset will constantly find themselves dissatisfied with their current position. Just hoping to do what they dream of.
And let's be frank! Almost 90% of passions are related to hobbies like football or video games.

NOT CAREER PASSIONS!

So what about the people who have a CAREER PASSION?

How can we explain this?
Career happiness is related to:

-Autonomy: Control over your life.

-Competence: Feeling of being good at what you do.

-Relations: Your relationship with other people.
It will take some time to gain these three golden traits.

So there's no one-night passion. It's something that has to be built.

In other words, focus on what you can offer to a job, not what a job can offer you!
Just practice and practice and practice.

Grow the unique skills that are needed.

And be sure that you're putting your best into it.

And then?
Then you will be so good at what you do that nobody can ignore you.

And it brings you more autonomy and, therefore, career satisfaction.

See? Nothing overnight.
Do you doubt what principles you have to apply to your business for it to be successful?

- Leverage,
- Niches and
- Scale models will guide you.

Oh boyโ€ฆ Monday mornings!

The weekendโ€™s over...
The alarm clock is just ringing and ringingโ€ฆ
Iโ€™m sure many of you wish this just never existed.

But listen to me:
Mondays donโ€™t have to feel that way. ๐Ÿ‘‡
Itโ€™s hard to go back to work after a great weekend with family and friends, sleeping late, and doing what you want.

But the beginning of the week can be like the beginning of the year.

- A fresh start
- A blank page
- An invitation to learn, create and prosper.

"How to Think and Decide Better"

=A THREAD BY WD=
A mental model is an explanation of someone's thought process about how something works in the real world.

They shape how we think and how we understand.

We need them to simplify the complexities and reason.
We canโ€™t keep all of the details of the world in our brains, so we use mental models.

The quality of our thinking is the quality of the models in our heads.

The more models you have
The bigger your toolbox
The more likely you are to have the right ones in the right situation.

โ€œI am dying, Maximus. When a man sees his end, he wants to know there was some purpose to his life. How will the world speak my name in years to come? Will I be known as the philosopher? The warrior? The tyrant? Or will I be the emperor who gave Rome back her true self?โ€
It was a cut from Ridley Scottโ€™s 2000 epic historical film โ€œGladiatorโ€

The old man is Marcus Aurelius, Roman emperor (161 to 180 AD) and a philosopher.

He was the last of the rulers known as the โ€œFive Good Emperorsโ€, and the last emperor of the golden age of the Roman empire.

And thatโ€™s the whole point, isnโ€™t it?

You want to learn and apply.
