Lets start from India: India is a part of South Asia; Asia is one of the continent in the world;
This world is nothing but Earth. The whole Earth is known as Bhooh.
In Bhooh we have seven Dweepams known as Jambu, Plaksha, Shalmali, Kusha, Kraunca, Shaka, Pushkara Dweepams respectively. India is in Jambudweepam.
Above Bhooh there are seven layers/lokas named as Bhuvah, Suvah, Mahah, Janah, Tapah, Satyam
Similarly, Below Earth there are
another seven layers/Lokas called as Atala, Vitala, Sutala, Rasathala, ThalaaThala, Mahathala, Pathala.
seven lokas above & seven Lokas below Earth respectively. So we call (Eer Yezhu 14 Lokam in Tamil) means 7X2=14 Lokas
All these 14 lokas including Earth looks like an egg.

Manakula Vinayaka Temple is one of the famous ancient temple in Puducherry, The Temple is 400 meters West of Bay of Bengal Sea, 165 Km South of Chennai. The main deity Manakula Vinayaka (Ganesh Bhagwan) of this temple is facing East.

as that time there was pond (Kulam in Tamil) on the western side of this temple & due to proximity of Sea, pond was full of sand (Manal in Tamil), hence it was called as Mana Kula Vinayagar.
