Short version of the Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe

In the late 70s the Shah of Iran ordered and paid for 1500 Shir 2 tanks from the UK

Paid £400m for them

The Shah was overthrown in 1979 and Iran became the Islamic Republic of Iran

Iran still wanted the Shir 2 tanks it had paid money for

But the Govt said nope and kept the money and supplied no tanks

Fast forward to 2016, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe visits her mother in Iran with her 22m old daughter in tow on a 100% family visit.

As she was about to board the plane back to the UK she was arrested

There was much toing and throwing

But then

Boris Johnson made a huge mistake!

He said

"When we look at what Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was doing, she was simply teaching people journalism, as I understand it, at the very limit."

Wholly incorrect !

She was not doing any of that, was on 100% family visit to show her mum her new granddaughter

Training journalism in Iran is a big fat no no

And Boris Johnson's mistake gave Islamic Republic of Iran all the ammo it needed to abuse Nazanin's position to use her and pawn to get their £400m back

And now the @BBCNews are trying to tell us the UK looking at repaying the £400m back to Iran is

'unlinked'
