Indigenous communities across the country are showing incredible leadership with administrating vaccines and cutting active cases down. To finish the fight against COVID-19, and to make sure they can build back better, we’re going to keep working together. Here’s our plan:
We’re making sure Indigenous communities have funding to hire nurses, get personal protective equipment, and do whatever is needed to protect people. We’re also investing in a mental health and wellness strategy, so everyone can access the care and support they need.
We’re going to make sure everyone has access to clean water, too. We’ve lifted 106 long-term advisories since 2015, and we’re not stopping now. We’ll also invest in Indigenous infrastructure projects, and make sure everyone has a safe place to call home and a good job to go to.
We’ve got a lot of work to do - but we can, and we will, continue to move forward together. To learn more about how we’re going to build stronger and healthier communities in partnership with Indigenous Peoples, click here: budget.gc.ca/2021/home-accu…

Canada’s seniors have always worked hard and been there for us - and now, we need to be there for them. I spoke about that with seniors from Magog, Quebec and Miramichi, New Brunswick today and let them know we’re here to help. Here’s the rundown of how we’re going to do that:
For seniors 75 and up as of July 2022, we’re going to increase Old Age Security by 10% - putting more money in the pockets of over 3 million seniors. For those 75 and up as of June 2022, we’re also going to provide a one-time Old Age Security payment of $500 this August.
We’re going to make sure seniors live in safe and dignified conditions by supporting provinces and territories in applying standards for long-term care. And for seniors who live at home, we’ll help fund community organizations that can provide them with the support they need.

Voici comment on va faire :

Attention, students and young people - this thread is for you! I know this past year has been tough. I know you’ve missed important milestones, made personal sacrifices, and suffered real losses. But we’re here for you and, with #Budget2021, we’re going to help you. Here’s how:
If you’re looking to gain skills and experience to enter the workforce, we’re going to create new training and work opportunities for you. If you’re a first-year apprentice, we’re going to create an Apprenticeship Service to connect you with employers and help you find good jobs.
If you’re working on paying back your student loans right now, we’re going to waive interest for an additional year. We’re also going to provide more flexibility on the repayment of federal student loans, so no one has to make a payment they can’t afford.

The pandemic has threatened to stall much of the progress women have made over the past decades. In fact, many women have left their jobs this past year. This isn’t just a recession. It’s a “she-cession.” We need to turn things around. Here’s how #Budget2021 will help us do that:
If you’re a mother who wants to head back to work, we’re going to make sure you have high-quality child care for an average of $10 a day. If you’re an entrepreneur who’s looking for support, we’re going to help you access the financing, mentorship, and training you need to grow.
If you’re a young woman who’s starting her career, we’re going to create apprenticeship opportunities to help you find a good job. And no matter who you are, we’re going to keep you safe by moving forward with Canada’s very first National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence.
