Rockefeller Foundation Bankrolls Covid-19 Commission Led By Beijing Sympathizing Economist Jeffrey Sachs

Peter Daszak is on the commission. Both he and Sachs have reliably dismissed the Wuhan lab leak theory as a Western attack on China.
Sachs recently blamed the U.S. for tensions with China at an event hosted by the China Public Diplomacy Association, which operates under the foreign affairs ministry.

He's also called U.S. the "greatest threat" to global peace.
The Lancet also supports the commission (thus the name, Lancet Covid-19 Commission).

Lancet editor Richard Horton was featured in a Facebook ad by China state-controlled media outlet CGTN in which he praised China's pandemic response
Horton received the 2015 friendship award from China's State Administration of Foreign Affairs Experts, a front group linked to the notorious Thousand Talents program.

Which *might* be true, but in the case of Burisma, the donor was paying for the legitimacy that Atlantic Council can provide in Washington.

Lancet editor has said the world has "a great deal to thank China for" regarding pandemic, & that Trump committed "crimes against humanity" by defunding WHO.

But Richard Horton has long been cozy with China, receiving a gov't "Friendship" award in 2015. dailycaller.com/2021/03/04/lan…
The award was from China's State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), which operated the Thousand Talents plan.

Horton received award for his “enthusiastic support for China’s construction” and for his “friendly co-operation.”
SAFEA funded at least three studies published in The Lancet in 2017-2019. Horton attended a SAFEA symposium in 2016, and contributed to a report provided to Chinese government.

NEW: The Lancet's editor has repeatedly bashed the U.S., praised China during the pandemic.

That's perhaps why China's propaganda outlets have interviewed Richard Horton repeatedly, even paying for a Facebook ad w/ one of his interviews.

In 2015, Horton was awarded a "Friendship" award by China's State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, the agency that recruits foreign scientists and runs the Thousand Talents program.

It's been implicated in espionage and intellectual property cases.
The State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs hosted Horton in China in 2016, and used his insights for a government report.

The agency also funded at least 3 studies published by The Lancet.

Last year: “The U.S. is a force for division, not for cooperation."
