A Reagan appointed judge just denied bond, including a $15 million offer, to two men charged with spraying Officer Sicknick. They are in solitary confinement in DC jail PRE-TRIAL. The men have no criminal record--the judge is litigating the case.

Judge now suggesting both are guilty of conspiracy because they planned to go to DC together and brought chemical spray to defend themselves from other protestors. "No question what happened on the day of the riot. They talked on the phones as the riot began."
"They played a role in the breach and attack on the Capitol. You can see the rioters breach the police line." Judge claims Sicknick was "violently assaulted" and disabled. This is why Hogan will keep men in solitary confinment--to keep the Sicknick narrative alive despite facts.
They are a danger, Hogan says, bc their attempt to halt "democratic processes" in their "attack on Congress." Police under attack by a "riotous mob" and rioters attempted to "interfere in a constitutional process." He's rambling...trying the case when it's supposed to be bond.

Defends solitary confinement in DC jail because of COVID. Of course these are for prisoners convicted of crimes, not pre-trial. The lockdown is "severe" but he hopes vaccinations will help. "I recognize concerns prisoners have." Rambling now about vaccines and more "freedoms."
Status hearing June 16. Prosecutors claim they'll have discovery soon. Protective orders in place, this relates to the Capitol Police surveillance video I wrote about today. Defense lawyer suggests they will appeal.
