1 LE explains there are laws preventing him from conducting disinfo ops vs. Americans. Then adds:

4 That's a bit odd. Lue is now a private citizen, so why would "The Government" have any say over what he's doing right now? And who in "The Government" would he need to hear it from in order to make him stand down?

30 Lue: to close that effort & move on. Nothing to see here, folks. Probably political pressure came from high up. Once they said (at conclusion of PBB in 1969) these objects aren't a concern and not a real issue, it's hard to go back on that and admit you were wrong. Right now,

31 Lue: Navy is in charge but needs to include Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard and yes, even the Army, who are seeing these things as well. Thinks it will switch to something more comprehensive and robust as opposed to just the Navy being at the helm.
