From requiring a mask outdoors, to subjecting citizens to gov’t pre-approval for a BBQ, to restricting the free exercise of religion — enough is enough
The unending control over people’s lives must end — that’s why I filed suit against St. Louis Co today
3 weeks ago I sent a letter to St Louis Co expressing deep concern about the ongoing Stay-At-Hone-Order & asked for evidence for their extreme restrictions. Not only did they ignore our request for justification, they pulled a bait and switch & issued a new amended order
After review of the amended order it become clear, given the number of typos & blatant inconsistencies that this was rushed out the door in an attempt to appease our office and avoid litigation.
The order simply tightens the screws on the people of St Louis Co.
At face value it demands so much more gov’t control over people’s lives than justified.
For example if you want to get together with your neighbors for a bbq you need the government’s permission.
That’s nuts
The order blatantly violates #ReligiousFreedom. The order treats churches as businesses yet they don’t enjoy the same exceptions as daycares or public transit.
So, per this order you can sit by a stranger on a bus but can’t sit next to a neighbor at church. #1A

The PA Sup Ct decision-allowing ballots after the election without even postmark overstepped its constitutional authority, encroached on PA leg authority & violated the Election Clauses. Therefore, we are seeking #SCOTUS review & reversal of the PA Sup Ct. wsj.com/livecoverage/t…
The PA leg decided to allow mail in voting ONLY if ballots were received by Election Day. The PA Ct rewrote the law to allow ballots to be counted days AFTER the election & not even postmarked. We’re asking #SCOTUS to take the case & reverse. Legislatures set rules for elections
Further, the PA Supreme Court supercharged concern of mail in ballot fraud by allowing mail in ballots to be received several days after Election Day without a postmark. Americans deserve to have faith in their elections. Big important principals are at stake here.
St. Louis prosecutor Kim Gardner is engaged in a political prosecution.
I entered the case seeking a dismissal.
As AG I have a duty to protect the fundamental rights of all Missourians including the right to keep & bear arms in self-defense of one's person & home.
A THREAD
The right to defend one’s person, family, home and property has deep roots in Missouri law. Self-defense is the central component of the right to keep & bear arms, which receives the highest protection from the MO Constitution. #2A
MO statutes specifically authorize citizens to use firearms to deter assailants & protect themselves, their families & homes from threatening or violent intruders. #2A
