I'm 22.
Honestly most of my flexes can't fit into one quote.
Anyway,
-I graduated at 21 with a degree in English last year from Babcock University.
-I was top five in my department.
-At 19, I co-founded @AsEqualsAfrica
as a way of providing a safe space for female creatives.
-At 19 too, I interned with @Wimbiz as a comms intern.
-That year too, I protested at the We Will Not Be Silent Lagos protests on gender based violence.
-Still that year, I was made the Vice President of my department in school.
-I also got invited that year to panels with TEAW
and WWNBS.
-At 19, lest I forget I got published with @akereview and @TGLMtweets.
Most of what I was writing revolved around sex and gender roles.
-At 20, I created the #SayHerNameNigeria hashtag to speak on the dehumanization of women by the Nigerian police.
-At 20, I came out to my parents.
I never thought I will survive that but we are here.
-At 20, I got my first paycheck as a writer for a poem I wrote for @Gumbo_Media.
Fun fact: It was the opening act and was selected from thousands of entries.
-At 20, I had a cameo in BBC's
#SexForGrades.
I will later go on at 21 to be a contract researcher for them.
-At 21, I was nominated by @YNaija for a Diversity Award shortly after I led a team of writers, filmmakers and designers to bring to life a special series on rape culture.
(Check my pinned tweet).
-At 21, I was chosen by @Medium as a Top Writer in Feminism.
-At 21, I started a podcast called As Angel Was Sayin' to discuss women's issues and gender inequality drawing from my work as a journalist in both fields.
-At 21, I covered #Endsars as a journalist and did not die.
-At 21, I entered into the world of literary gatekeeping when I edited my first recognized book.
I still can't describe how it felt seeing my name as the editor on it.

I cried that day bc I never thought it would come true.
It's a book by @Jesutomisin_.
Check his pinned & buy.
Now at 22,
-I am an editor with a pretty good pay considering that I have no plans of doing NYSC yet.
-I am a freelance journalist working with bylines too many to mention here.
Some include Document Women, YNaija, An Owerri Babe, Peerless Mag & Radical Notion to name a few.
At 22,
-I am the editor for a first of its kind anthology of poetry by young Nigerian female poets.

Oh I forgot to mention at 21 I was also the main content strategist for a tech based wealth creation company.
That year too, I ventured into artist management as a PR chic.
At 20 I also worked as a marketing & communications intern with Wave Academies.
At 21, I worked with BRMC Media too.

I am currently 22 and still have a lot I've set my mind on.
In the time being, read my Medium blog.

You can listen to my podcast too.
I also am venturing into audio production and voice acting so hit me up if you need your ebook or animation voiced.

Oh I also forgot to add here that at age 20 I was invited to see the British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria based off my work as a feminist.

I also was a key speaker at the COZA protests at age 20 too.
Also, at age 21 I tried starting a skincare business which failed.
Also, at 18, I won the Nigerian Teen Choice for Spoken Word Poetry.
There are other things I've done that I'm sure I cannot remember at the moment.
At 22, I was judging literary awards for magazines like Kito Diaries.

Whatever the case, my portfolio bangs with a capital B.

Healthwise.
-My periods are stabilising and it seems my ovarian cysts are gone.
I still have to do a check up to confirm that PCOS has fled from me.
-In a healthier and more stable state of mind than I've been for the past three years.
-My hair is healthier too.
Work wise.
-New job as an editor.
-New freelance role with Document Women which is a dream come true if I do say so myself.
By the way in all of this I've not done NYSC and I think it is a heavy flex that points to my ability to pull in favours and wealth.
-More referrals too.
Relationship wise.
-I'm finally letting go of friends I lost last year.
No longer as angry as I was and sometimes I actually find myself praying for even those who have cursed me out on here.
2020 Angel will be laughing at me right now but we move.

There is hardly anything empowering about sex work.
Know it and know peace.

There is hardly any difference between paying a woman's brideprice to her father and paying an often trafficked woman money of which most goes to her pimps.
Know it and know peace.
You can't speak against bride price as an African Feminist under the pretext of "Women's bodies are not commodities to be exploited".

You cannot speak against bride price as an AfriFeminist knowing fully well putting money on women's bodies excuses men for marital rape.
You cannot speak against bride price as an African Feminist but turn around and support sex work.
Know it and know peace.

You cannot speak against bride price as an African Feminist knowing fully well how bride price lists mirror slavery and the making of women as property.
