15 simple tips to get healthy the right way.

Lessons I learned while losing 53 pounds.

// THREAD //
1. You start by un-learning everything.

Forget what the government, schools, news, and even your friends and family want you to believe.

Either they're making a profit off you or they simply don't know what they're talking about.

Do your own research.
2. You accept that there will be obstacles.

This allows you to prep for those bad days.

Just make sure you know WHY you're doing this.

If you mess up, tap back into your 'why' and get back on track right away.

"Never make the same mistake two days in a row"

- @JamesClear
3. You stay away from 'fat-free' labels.

Anything that's fat-free synonymous with processed as hell.

Either they added sugar or they added a bunch of other industrial ingredients your body has NO need for.

Healthy fats are absolutely vital to your progress.
4. You prioritize proteins.

Up to 40% of your daily calories should come from quality protein sources.

(30% fats and 30% carbs)

Animal proteins are of significantly higher quality.

Consume meat, fish, eggs, pork, chicken.
5. You lift weights regularly.

Cardio is excellent. But I see too many people trying to out-run their diet.

That is NOT sustainable.

Lift weights & add on some muscle to:

- look good as f*ck
- increase your base metabolic rate
- maintain quality of life into old age
6. You gotta get rid of seed oils.

I know I say it all the time, but it's worth repeating.

Vegetable and seed oils = industrial poison.

They cause IBS, Cardiovascular disease, massive inflammation, and much more.

Olive oil, ghee, butter, avocado oil = ok.
7. You understand the power of fasting.

Humans aren't designed to eat around the clock.

Throw in a 16/8 or even 20/4 a couple of times a month, if you're main priority is optimal health and longevity.

Autophagy* = your body's cleaning service.

*starts 12 hours into a fast.
8. You focus on the bigger picture.

Weight loss is cool, but it should be a side-effect.

When you struggle, think of the many benefits you'll get:

- Energy
- Cognitive focus
- Confidence
- Sexual performance ;-)
- And much more

It's NOT just about the numbers on the scale.
9. You're ready to defend yourself.

Whether in business, sports, or your health, those around you are going to find ways to make you hesitate.

Don't let them! Tell them your health is important to you.

They're either with you or they're against you at this point.
10. You'll only stick to something based on your lifestyle.

The realities of your life are what they are.

When you make health a priority you should be willing to make some sacrifices and turn them into a sustainable plan.

Always think long-term. Delay your gratification.
11. You develop your mind as well as your body.

Too many of us try to get that healthy body, but neglect to invest in their mindset.

Speaking from experience here:

If you don't build up your self-love WHILE building up your physical health, you won't end up happy.
12. You know when to ask for help.

Let's face it. This journey isn't easy.

I struggled forever before I figured it out. How?

My coach (turned bro for life) took me under his wings and taught me everything I needed to live optimally.

Don't be too proud to ask for help.
13. You increase your water intake.

You drink 5 cups of water a day? That's cute. At best.

Men, drink about 15 cups per day.

Ladies, let's shoot for 10-11 cups of water per day.
14. You don't let your health journey limit you.

There's no need to stop hanging out with friends or going to events, simply because you don't want to mess up.

Let's eat clean 80-90% of your meals.

Allocate 10-20% for meals with friends, work-related lunches, etc.

Simple!
15. You get out in the sun more.

Go read outside, go work outside, go for a daily walk outside. Whatever it is, just get your ass out of your house.

If optimal human health is a priority, then getting a daily dose of vitamin d isn't just optional.

It's a must.

You get happy seeing others win, but it also triggers some anxiety within you.

It's ok, you're human.
You believe a home-cooked meal is, by definition, healthy.

Thank you smartphone addiction.

This thread has tips to:

- Boost your mindset
- Increase earning ability
- Improve odds of success
We were never taught how to concentrate in school, and focussing on tasks we don't enjoy is really difficult.

Sadly the tasks we don't enjoy reap the greatest benefits though.

The good news is: your concentration is like a muscle.

You can practice and train it to be better.

Feeling unfulfilled?

5 signs your life needs to change.

// THREAD //
1. You Make Just About Enough At Your Job

You feel chained in your easy, low-stress comfort zone and ignore what your heart is telling you.

That inner friction is eating at your soul.

You choose to ignore it though.

Because, well, next month you'll get that paycheck!

Right?
2. You Pick Up One Bad Habit After Another

You know you should drop them.

Somehow, you never manage to.

Stack the Netflix onto the Disney+.

Stack the mindless shopping for shit you don't need onto your gaming addiction.

Anything to escape feeling things we don't like.

How To Conquer Yourself & Retire Your Parents

6 lessons you should apply on your path to greatness.

(number 4 is all you need to get started)

// THREAD //
What is your biggest desire in life?

It's not making a gazillion dollars.

It's what that money allows you to do.

It's about owning all 24 hours of the day.

It's about what it would allow you to do.

My biggest desire is retiring my parents.

Here's how I'm doing it.
1. The Power Of 'Yet'

Decide on your goal.

In my case: retiring my parents.

Understand that you're going to have to get out of your comfort zone.

You don't know how to code YET.

You don't know how to do email marketing YET.

You don't have millions YET.

You will.

How To Stop Feeling Like A Failure After 30

Confessions of a former loser who's turned his life around

(& who believes you will too)

// THREAD //
You look around you and feel tiny.

You feel like your whole life is a chain of disappointments.

You feel your parents are ashamed of you, or at the very least you feel you're letting them down.

You've had some minor achievements, but you still feel 'inferior'.

I feel you.
Most people around you are off being successful, happy, and accomplished. Or so you believe.

They aren't.

Sure, they might have or earn more.

But you aren't what you have or do not have.

You are a collection of your experiences, your thoughts, and your actions.
