"Then around 1030am I hear on the grapevine that vaccinations are taking place at the town hall... okay... I've had the first round and I'm theoretically due for the second round within the next four weeks so I braved arrest and went there with my vaccination card in hand..
Joined the queue and waited. Whilst waiting, I realised that this queue was not going anywhere. While we were standing there, a whole lot of people were being taken in completely ignoring the queue. A gentleman behind me in the queue went up to the security....
....and questioned as to why people were being taken in having bypassed the queue and it turned out into an argument.
Within about 15 minutes the police arrived and about another 15 minutes later a higher ranking officer arrived to deal with the situation..

.. given the brand new Chinese donated SUV he arrived in, I would surmise that the senior officer was of an ASP rank. I may be mistaken though. Anyhow, he speaks to the gentleman and the security first & tries to defuse the tension. Then after speaking to the people inside...
...comes out and makes an announcement.In a nutshell, he states that the vaccination being carried out is for CMC employees and for others who are on a list. He clarified that if you are not on a list, you will get turned away.
People in the queue did question as to who has provided the list to which he responded that he did not know. However, I did not leave my place in the queue, I continued to watch how people were being taken in. Then I see John Amaratunga walk in & take about 6 people in with him
...Some of the six had been behind me in the queue. Two people I know personally got into town hall at the early stages of the vaccination programme of the 14th (they were allowed to enter the programme before the cmc closed the door)....
...after spending more than 3 hours inside, they were denied the vaccine on the excuse that they ran out but it would seem that a lot of supposedly influential people were able to get their second dose but not us plebs..
