5 types of lead magnets and how to write the right one

Get 100+ subscribers to your email list in a day

/* thread */
Using a lead magnet is by far the easiest way to get a lot of subscribers to your email list

Here are my GOLDEN RULES:

• Short and actionable
• Take people from point A to point B
• Takes no longer than 10 minutes to consume
• Showcase your expertise on the matter
Now, here are 5 of my favorite lead magnet ideas you can use to craft yours

1. Short eBook

Straightfoward one. A simple PDF file.

Keys here:

- Don't make it too long
- Make it super actionable
- Make it fast and easy to consume

Something like a top 5 do/don'ts work well

Simple trick to increase open rates with NO extra work

/* THREAD */ 🧵
Every time you send an email, not everyone in your list will open.

Most common causes are:

- They're not on their inbox
- Email got pushed down the inbox
- Subject line was not appealing enough
- They were not in the mood to read the email
Most often than not, people not opening doesn't mean they have no interest in reading what you've send.

It was just not pertinent for them at the time.

So here's how you fight that:

Why you shouldn't care about email unsubscribes

/* THREAD */ 🧵
I get it. It can be harsh to log in into your email platform and see "1 unsubscriber today"

You'll probably go as far as rushing to see who he was.

But you shouldn't care, and here's why 👇
People who unsubscribe would never:

- Be buyers
- Add anything to your business
- Be the type of customers you want

Most of them:

- Either don't know why they're inside your list in the first place (freebie seeker)
- Simply don't resonate with the content (it's fine)

5 Writing Tips To Write Emails That Hook readers

Thread 🧵
1. Use active voice

In school they teach you should write in the passive voice.

It's more often than not not the best for the reader

Active voice:

- Is more persuasive
- More informal
- Easier to read
2. Use the correct adverb & adjective

You want to paint the most accurate scenario

Don't say: He was very tall for his age

Say: He was abnormally tall for his age

--

Don't say: We ran to catch the bus

Say: We rushed to catch the bus

7 Types of Emails You can Send To Rack in Sales And Clients

Thread 🧵
1. Story

Write a story where the reader can see himself reflected on the main character

Tie the moral lesson of the story to a business lesson and that business lesson to your product and service

"Show don' tell" is powerful
2. Direct Pitch

This one is specially good if your readers are already in the "Most Aware" state or if you're at the end of a product promtion.

A simple direct email with:

- Benefits
- Who's this for

Will work wonders

INFLUENCE, MONEY, AUTHORITY

That all comes with the right POSITIONING

Here's how you should do it for your email list

/* THREAD */ 🧵
Check your inbox right at this second and do this:

1. Browse through all the emails
2. For each sender try to guess the topic of the email
3. Rate from 0-10 how easy it was

If it was below 8...

Here's what these people should do:
There's clearly a lack of position when people can't guess the META topic of what's inside

That leads to readers not being interested in opening the emails

No one wants to read "just another newsletter"

They want to read and gain insight on specific topics they're interested
