So with so much stories about #IYC let me share some of the things they did for cases I requested.Point to be noted before I started volunteering, I never knew a single one of them or that something like #IYC existed
When i started seeing stories of people thanking them, I tagged
Here are some stories which includes #IYC and #Congress party leaders, none of who knew me when I started volunteering :
My first encounter with Congress IYC was 5 weeks ago when a neighbour's wife needed a bed. She was just 30 & sinking. They worked for 18 hours and got her a bed
When we found out there was no one to take care of the 2 kids at home, they agreed to babysit them (neighbour refused). But they agreed. She is fine now and back home. It would not have happened without @arjundsage1
When another person called me to inform me of an accident case who wasn't getting a bed cause turned out covid positive, I pinged @srinivasiyc . This was at 11 PM. At 3:37 AM i got a message @RakshaRamaiah in Bangalore, patient is admitted and treatment has started
When a friend's hospital in Gulbarga ran out of oxygen in spite of sending SOS to govt for 3 days and had to evacuate 28 ICU patients, I again sent a SOS and @arjundsage1 tagged @PriyankKharge sir. In 5 hours oxygen was provided and the patients could be re-admitted.
The other day when a 20 year old got serious and neither were beds available and nor were they ready to take such a complicated case, we pinged every leader we could think of and finally one of the highest post holder's office got into action to request a bed.
The patient got admitted (We not sure whose recommendation finally worked).Sadly we could not save her cause it was too late. But everyone from @srinivasiyc to @srivatsayb to @PriyankKharge sir responded to me. Mind you I did not know the patient & none of them know me
Last morning when a neighbour's driver was not getting any beds cause no one wanted to take a complicated case, it is they who ran around to convince hospitals to take it.
Finally the admission happened but after @arjundsage1 went personally to ensure it. Not their job remotely but yet they did. Today when we heard of his demise again Arjun ran there to finish formalities. Not his job but he did
Last morning we organised a lady's mother's bed in a govt hospital (She could not afford otherwise). Hospital somehow refused admission in spite of confirmation. She had to be shifted to a private hospital.
As always went to them. Not only was bed arranged but the @arjundsage1 immediately pinged me to say we can work on crowd funding their cost but they should get treatment. Again not their job
There are plenty such cases, from getting me a bed for a sinking patient in Jaipur, getting me medicines for someone in Udaipur to helping me get oxygen for a patient in Haryana
So yes I am saying today that unless #Congress was there, the mayhem would have been far worse
PS: Each of these cases were on twitter. And when i removed I mentioned who helped me

Stop trying to turn everything as tech solves all problem, exactly like the blockchain guys believes it solves everything.
If you want to solve the problem, here is 1 easy way tech can help. Reach out to hospital software management guys. Ensure it's linked to the billing system
When a patient checks out, it automatically releases a bed. Same with movement occurs between ICU to normal and vice versa cause rates are different and billing has to capture it.
So once billing captures it, it releases a bed, it can in real time either integrate with govt website and/or send out a tweet that it has 1 empty bed now. This is not a very high level work and honestly that is all we need. Real time information of beds.
I don't know if you understand the gravity of what is happening. Seeing some pictures I am presuming you don't. So let me share some updates from 6 AM today 1. A neighbour's 7 month pregnant friend is on the verge of losing her child cause both cannot be saved
2. I just got a SOS for a 1 year old kid 3. A neighbour could not get a bed in Delhi. Finally a contact arranged in Chadigarh 4. A person who contacted me has his wife's SPO2 at 60 and she is just 32. We yet to locate her a bed in Bangalore
5. Entire Bangalore has 6 ICU Beds available 6. A friend has got Covid for the 2nd time. 7. Delhi has run out of oxygen
