Court notes from the submissions of the state that GT hospital does not have the adequate facility.
Court informs Chaudhry that they will not grant bail but they can direct for a transfer to another hospital like KEM or JJ which are government hospitals.
Chaudhry states that since Babu is in judicial custody the State is supposed to take care of the prisoner.
Chaudhry: The State is supposed to ensure the prisoner gets the best medical treatment possible.
May I request for Breach Candy hospital. As his family has doctors, they can also suggest the best treatment for him.
Court: We will say at the discretion of the doctors!
Court: Let is set a precedent. We do not mind. Especially in such times.
And we have directed him to foot the bill of the hospital. We are not shifting him to Nanavati and asking the State to pay the bill.
