Ever since some nations began administering China’s Sinopharm vaccine, questions were being raised over its efficacy. In Seychelles, Sinopharm has failed to provide relief from surging Covid-19 cases despite remarkably high vaccination rate in the country. 2/7
Seychelles is the most vaccinated country at present with over 71% of the population having received first dose & 62% received second dose so far. 57% of these people received Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, most of whom are now infected, raising concerns on its effectiveness. 3/7
While data from Seychelles supports reports of Sinopharm as an ineffective failed vaccine, bigger nations like UAE & Bahrain who had earlier decided to only administer Sinopharm vaccine have quickly acted to correct their folly. 4/7
UAE govt. is offering a third dose of Sinopharm vaccine to people who have been fully vaccinated at least 6 months ago. Bahrain has also made a similar announcement. The prescribed doses of vaccine are 2 only so the need for a booster dose hints at inefficacy of Sinopharm 5/7
It has not escaped world attention that UAE is administering the booster dose only to those who had been given China’s Sinopharm vaccine. Bahrain has also decided to vaccinate its younger population with Pfizer vaccine instead of Sinopharm. 6/7
This has highlighted China’s incompetency (or lack of intention probably) to present a safe vaccine to the world for a pandemic started by its own dishonesty. Its effect will be unfortunately seen on 42 countries that used its fake vaccines! 7/7
