Good afternoon! I’m here OTG at a “End White Supremacy” Rally, on Franklin and Hillhurst in Los Felix.
I’d put the amount of people at about 75.
RevComs making a speech now. Crowd seems a bit more mixed as far as reaction.
Crowd beginning to march. Hearing they’re headed to the Griffith Observatory- a march that should take about an hour or more.
A pretty large tent of stated causes today: seeing Palestinian flags/cheers, AAPI flags, LGBTQIA+ flags, RevComs, PSL, Black Lives Matter, Pro-Refugee flags, Antifa flags.
Crowd passing by a Sikh Temple, made mention of the recent mass shooting in Indianapolis (referred to as Minneapolis). Police blocking traffic one block down.
The crowd is now in Griffith Park. I’m being told the plan is to go to the top of the hill. Passing the “base camp” now
The crowd is getting pretty close to the observatory- of note, this is the one of the first times in the LA area that a BLM protest crowd has gone through a tunnel since an incident where protestors were kettled and shot with less lethals last summer.
Crowd has arrived at the Observatory. Some dancing and speeches.

Good evening! I’m OTG on Huntingnton Beach to check out Adrian’s kickback. There’s several men in Viking helmet beer serving hats and fireworks. I’ll report more soon.
There’s *at least* thousands of people here
Indeed, #adrianskickback is very alive and well here in Huntington Beach. Many many people in the street, crowding cars.
Good afternoon! I’m here in front of Royce Hall in UCLA, where a banner drop reading “Cops Off UCLA.”
Was just handed a flyer and a Zine from an organization called @copsoffearth .
Some debate between a man and Ho says he’s a faculty member and an organizer group. The faculty member takes issue with the F word and wants reform, the group is calling for “abolition now.”
Good afternoon! I’m on the ground covering the “Open Air Aztec Market” at Club Bahia in Echo Park.
There are about 20 vendors: lots of traditional garb, feathers, instruments, one person selling “Zapatista Coffee”, and a vegan taco spot called A Pinch Of Love pictured here.
A jewelry vendor here, who was nice enough to let me get in for a very close shot.
Good evening! I’m on the ground in Westwood, near UCLA covering the area during and after the Bruins facing Gonzaga in the Final Four Men’s Basketball Game.
Streets are very quiet right now.
Some LAPD cruisers circling the area with four to a car.
At least one horse mounted unit staged nearby. I asked a few of the LAPD officers if the response unit today was big, and he replied “we are ready,” while nodding his head.
Good afternoon! I’m OTG at the Getty Mansion (mayor’s house) where about 10 people gathered “in solidarity with the unhoused.” LAPD arrived and told protestors there are noise restrictions on protesting homes.
Crowd is up to about 30 now, giving speeches. Lots of talk about the lack of housing for the unhoused.
Following up on reports of an OIS near MacArthur Park roughly an hour ago- there were active IG lives up until about 30 minutes ago.
Currently, the area around MacArthur Park is blocked off. There were IG lives of woman on the island area attacking wildlife that reported the woman had a gun.
I’ve elected not to link them as there is harmful and racist language as well as abusive language toward mentally ill.
