The Not so Right Media in India

India has 124 registered mills under Newsprint control order. Only 62 mills are functioning today mostly to do with increase in imports and steep fall of domestic production. financialexpress.com/industry/newsp…
An investigation was ordered to check on the news prints being dumped in India from America, Europe and Hong Kong, Australia etc.

Price undercutting, price suppression for the sake of selling in India were noticed during the investigation.

m.businesstoday.in/lite/story/is-…
Before this investigation was kicked off the custom duty for news print was kept at 10% and then later slashed down to 5% to accommodate the demands of new print media owners.

This was again increased to 10% in this year’s budget.

A week back, Drama Queen Aravind Kejriwal’s Health minister claimed that Delhi has 13,000 beds available for treating Covid patients.

Between 2014-15 and 2019-20 Delhi added 9098 Beds taking the overall tally to 57,194 Beds. Only 22% was allocated to Covid patients. Why?
On April 13th, Aravind Kejriwal claimed that 2653 Beds have been added taking the overall tally of Covid Beds to 14,900.

When you already had 13,000 Beds to treat Covid cases on 10th April and you added 2653 Beds, you should have had 15,653 Beds.
Unusual of the Wire to have reported this. People going around different hospitals with falling oxygen levels due to inaccuracy in Delhi Corona App.
