i literally just saw "pride isn't about sex" and i feel like i'm in an AU. people like me were still being called "sodomites" pretty regularly and publicly while i was growing up and that wasn't that long ago, what the fuck is happening here

we had to have a fucking supreme court case saying you can't actually put people in Literal Goddamned Jail for having gay sex. that's in living memory of every adult in the fucking country because if it were a person, it wouldn't be old enough to vote yet!!
