Following civil unrest & political instability in Ethiopia, putting the Jewish community at risk, on May 24-25, 1991, Israel airlifted 14,300 Ethiopian Jews to Israel in a special mission titled #OperationSolomon.

Israel chartered 35 aircrafts, including Israeli Air Force C-130s, in a clandestine mission to rescue 14,000+ Ethiopian Jews and safely bring them to Israel within 36 hours.
In order to rescue as many people as possible, the seats of the planes were removed.
At 5:00PM on May 25, the first plane landed in Tel Aviv making history as one of Israel's most complex and emotional missions since the country's founding.
30 years later, we remember this historic mission which brought our Ethiopian brothers & sisters to 🇮🇱, fulfilling the dream of their forefathers to return to their Jewish homeland.
