Myth: Centre hasn't approved vaccines available globally
Fact: Centre has proactively eased entry of vaccines approved by US FDA, EMA, UK's MHRA, Japan's PMDA & WHO's Emergency Use Listing into India in April. These won't need to undergo prior bridging trials - NITI Aayog (1/7)

The provision has now been further amended to waive off the trial requirement altogether for the well-established vaccines manufactured in other countries. No application of any foreign manufacturer for approval is pending with the drugs controller: NITI Aayog (2/7)

Fact: Centre doing all heavy-lifting, from funding vaccine manufacturers to giving them quick approvals to ramping up production to bringing foreign vaccines. Vaccine is supplied wholly to states for free admn -NITI Aayog (3/7)

Trials in children in India going to begin soon. However, vaccinating children shouldn't be decided on basis of panic in Whatsapp & because some politicians want to play politics. It has to be a decision by scientists after adequate data available based on trials: NITI Aayog(7/7)
