The year is 2023...

Standing with newly elected House Speaker Marjorie Taylor Greene, House Intel Committee chairman Devin Nunes announces he will be holding joint hearings with Judiciary committee chairman Jim Jordan to begin the impeachment of President Biden.

Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell backs newly named Senate Judiciary committee chairman Tom Cotton’s plan to expand the Supreme Court to 51 seats. During his speech he says he looks forward to working with Justices Cruz and Hawley in the near future.

McConnell also goes on to state that “now that Senators Manchin and Sinema have officially changed their party affiliation, we now have the votes to end the dangerous filibuster that the democrats came so perilously close to destroying just a short time ago.”

When asked if he had seen or reached out to minority leader Schumer since his arrest, McConnell just laughed and told reporters they should ask Senators Johnson and Kennedy the same question when they return from Moscow.

When pressed about Nunes and Jordan moving forward in the House, McConnell says he does not anticipate a Kamala Harris presidency as the true president remains donald trump and looks forward to his return to the White House as soon as Senator Graham secures his release from NY.

Democracy doesn’t die in the dark, folks. It dies in complacency. It dies in broad day light. It dies at the hands of Mitch McConnell. It dies from a lack of transparency, lack of investigations into seditious insurrections, and a lack of resolve for Democrats to preserve it.

Democracy dies when one party denies the vote and the other sits on their hands and does nothing to save it. Democracy dies in 2023 if Democrats do not win the 2022 midterms. It just does. The above is our future if we do nothing in our present. Investigate, vaccinate, vote.
