1/I'm changing roles within @microsoft. Starting today I'll be reporting to the incredible @jennylayfluffy, our Chief Accessibility Officer for Microsoft.
I am *so honored* to be leading Accessibility tech for the whole company 🚀
2/This means, I'll be cajoling, err *influencing* all of our product teams to keep making #AssistiveTech that's more accessible, usable and innovative than ever.
3/The audience I'll be getting to know are the BILLION+ people with disabilities all over the world...
and also the *many of us* with #Neurodivergence and #MentalHealth concerns, whether permanent or temporary or situational.
5/ I LOVE being part of the @azureadvocates but #Accessibility is a topic that's deeply personal to me. I want billions of people to have the opportunities I’ve had.
I am so lucky to have a chance to work on something where business priorities line up with my personal mission.
6/ I will continue to be the world's biggest #FusionTeams fan and still host #LessCodeMorePower with @dynamiccrmcat because you know what's one of the best upskilling tools for people with disabilities to get great jobs? Yep, #PowerPlatform!
7/ I can't wait to work with all of YOU in the new role and OF COURSE there is already homework:
1. Try out this 5 min learning path: aka.ms/accessibility-… 2. Intro me to friends who are doing cool stuff with #a11y. I want to make ALL the friends + learn ALL of the things.
8/ Needless to say, I have never had a job with such scale and am MAJORLY impostering and also, so excited.
I’ll need ALL your love and support. Thank you! 💞
