The way we went from Caitlin Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair to “puberty blockers are a human right” in less than a decade, it seems entirely plausible that “let’s give it back” becomes a real movement in the next few years...
One of those things where conservative trolls try to call out progressive hypocrisy and empty language by demanding that “let’s give it back” becomes a thing to own the libs, and then the libs make it a thing to own the cons...
“My critique of this is that it’s just costless empty verbiage that does nothing to truly atone past sins.” But the whole point of the acknowledgment is to generate the pressure for real action that you are demanding in your critique...
