Level Up or Die: The book Jeff Bezos didn't want you to read

amazon.com/dp/1737181509

An unexpected thread 👇
Last week, @TheBrometheus and I submitted our new novel Level Up or Die to Amazon.

Did not go well.
Bezos and Co. would not let us publish because Adam Lane Smith, they assumed, is *the* Adam Smith.

Who has been dead for ... a few years.

9 Anti-Persuasion Mistakes to Avoid at 9:00 a.m.: Another Unexpected Thread

P.S. To slay all 45 anti-persuasion mistakes that cancel your credibility , join The Best Way To Say It by tonight at 11:59 Pacific

Now the thread!
OVERwritten and UNDERdeveloped. You're exactly sure what you want to say, so you keep writing around the point. Maybe saying the same vague thing 5 ways will work? Or nah? Especially common on complex, technical topics. (1/9)
Jargon over vernacular. The Gold Standard of easy-to-read content is the 5th grade reading level. Can a 10-year-old understand you enough to take action and get the result? They can if you use everyday language rather than terminology they don't. (2/9)
