Every day, they are frightened to death, along with their families, that this might be the day, they bring the virus home that could kill Mum, or that they become sufferers of #LongCovidKids How is it ethical or even LEGAL to make our children's lives a living hell like this? 2/
Even if they are fortunate enough to dodge the bullet of SARS-COV2, the repercussions from being forced in to this terrifying situation every day alone, will have implications on their mental health for years, and that of their anxious families. 3/
It is simply negligent for our government and UK Health bodies to ignore this and look the other way. In doing so, they are complicit in this daily hell that our children and families find themselves in. We plead for action to put an end to this. 4/
Schools need effective mitigations NOW - outdoor learning, masks reinstating, effective CO2 monitoring + HEPA filtration in schools, along with vaccines for children, and smaller class sizes. We achieve the latter by offering remote learning for families until things improve. 5/
PLEASE join us, in speaking up for children in the UK, for their right not to live in constant danger, fear, and anxiety and for their right to protection from an airborne virus that could change their lives forever. 6/6
