If I have one piece of advice for men in their 20s, it's to forgive their parents. If I have a second, it's to stop watching the news.
If I have a third piece of advice for men in their 20s, it's to not be afraid to fail. If I have a fourth, it's to choose your partner wisely (the biggest financial decision you will make).
If I have a fifth piece of advice for men in their 20s, it's to question everything you have been told. If I have a sixth, it's to learn how to say no.
If I have a seventh piece of advice for men in their 20s, it's to reject consumer culture. Live a life creating.

What schools should teach

โ€ข How to think, not what to think.
โ€ข Learn from your mistakes.
โ€ข Self-improvement is a good thing.
โ€ข How to adopt a growth mindset.
โ€ข Life is bigger than a test score.
How to think, not what to think

I taught public school for 20 years. The system tells you what to think, not how to think.
(it's easier that way)

You will not achieve much in life by accepting what schools โ€œteachโ€ you because schools want you smart enough to follow orders.
Self-improvement is a good thing

Putting yourself first is often viewed as a selfish act in todayโ€™s society. But, it is the opposite.

You need to invest in yourself first before you can give to others. If you do not, you will have nothing to give. Improvement is a selfless act.

I've been teaching public school for 20 years and today is my last day of work.

All because I started a Twitter account.
I started this account when I became a millionaire. I decided I was going to live for more than just money.

Most people hit 7-figures and are content.

This is a mistake.

Financial independence is where life begins.
I started my Twitter journey a little over a year ago. I never imagined that it would lead to me leaving my job.

If you had told me that you can make 6-figures online I would have called you crazy. I didn't even know how to write a Tweet.

If I can do it, you can do it.

7 More lessons for young men:

1 Appreciate nature
2 Learn how to say NO
3 Adopt a growth mindset
4 Have high standards in life
5 Never take your family for granted
6 The optimistic are the most successful
7 It's okay to take a break...
1 Appreciate nature

Enjoy Nature. Go on a pointless walk. Soak in the sunshine. You were put on Planet Earth for a reason.

Enjoy your time here. Trust me. Image
2 Learn how to say NO

The moment you start saying yes to everything is the moment you live on others people's terms.

Stop letting others dictate your life.
Learn how to say no.
Make your life your priority. Image

7 Lessons for young men:

1 You aren't owed anything
2 Money can buy happiness
3 No one cares more than you
4 Degrees do not give superpowers
5 You canโ€™t be friends with everyone
6 Eat properly & you will lose weight
7 Earn more/spend less to be wealthy

Thatโ€™s just how life goes
1 You aren't owed anything

People like to act like the world owes them something. It doesn't. You have to earn it. Take charge of your life and get what you want. There is nothing else to it.
2 Money can buy happiness

Money makes you financially secure and that leads to happiness. The biggest benefit is that you will sleep well at night. All tension will begin to melt away from life.

Stop listening to all of these hustlers that say money doesnโ€™t = happiness. It can.

17 Things I Hate about Regular People

It is perfectly okay to be upset, repulsed, or disgusted by things that do not meet your standard.

(retweet & share if you agree)
1 They have an opinion about everything

Regular people have an opinion about everything and they always need to tell you. They seek constant validation.

HINT: Keep it to yourself

"I'm at that stage in life where even if you say 1+1=5, you're right, have fun." - Keanu Reeves
2 Everything is someone elseโ€™s fault

They blame life
They blame their parents
They blame the president

It's NEVER their fault.

They fail to realize if they actually took responsibility for their life they would have a better chance of succeeding (but that's too hard).

Why You Should Remove Your Kids From The Public School System

Written by a Public School Teacher

//Thread
When it comes to the public school system, you have 3 groups of people.

1. Hates it, would never send their kids
2. No issues, good enough for them
3. Doesnโ€™t care, wants their kid to get a diploma

I taught for 20 years and I fall into the first category.
My issues donโ€™t stem from the system,
rather what the system has become.

I once believed in public education.
I thought it was a good place to be.

But times have changed.
(to the point that I no longer support it)

Iโ€™m not alone in this, most teachers and staff feel the same.
