NEW: Senate just unanimously passed a bill to make Juneteenth a federal holiday. @SenRonJohnson lifted his hold earlier today. House would still have to pass but a major advance.

NB: House Dem aide says leadership is "supportive" but still reviewing the Senate-passed bill. Not inconceivable this could pop up on the suspension calendar next week and have a presidential sig by Fourth of July.
Clarifying original tweet: @SenRonJohnson did not have a hold on the Juneteenth bill this Congress. Today he made public that he would not object as he did last Congress.

NEW: @Sen_JoeManchin tells reporters he has delivered a list of voting provisions he supports and opposes in FTPA and did NOT today rule out voting for a modified bill
Asked if this document includes any mention of the filibuster or any change in his attitudes thereon, he said no. but it does open the possibility that next week's vote could be a straight party line affair.
NEW details per 2 Dem aides:
Manchin is on board with early voting standards, ending gerrymandering.
BUT he wants voter ID mandate and opposes universal mail voting and public financing.
AND he's not budging on filibuster -- he thinks this could get 60.

Just about the only drama today surrounding the @mtgreenee cmte vote is whether she in any way says out loud what she told her colleagues behind closed doors last night -- that she regretted her past remarks.
And we're now about to find out!
Greene on the House floor: "You only know me by how ... the mainstream media is portraying me. .... What you need to know about me is I'm a very regular American, just like the people I represent in my district, and most people across the country."

With House Rs now voting on Cheney, clear that @GOPLeader made the politically obvious choice: Keep the tent big, even if it's messy inside.
With majority just out of grasp, best to keep both the @mtgreene & @Liz_Cheney wings in the fold, even if it means a 2-yr high-wire act.
FINAL TALLY: 145-61, @Liz_Cheney STAYS.
