Dear @khalafroula, so blatant was the misquote that @LisaCurtisDC had to intervene & correct @AmyKazmin-this is not the first time that Amy has done this; her racist bias can be culled out from her past reports & tweets over last few years but this is crossing all limits! @Dimi
So @khalafroula can you pl see yourself as to what @LisaCurtisDC actually said & how that comment was used by @AmyKazmin and @Dimi to further their own agenda behind this piece - let me tell you that Amy has been a regular at doing such strange manoeuvres to pursue racist agenda!
Why is @AmyKazmin so subtle with her propaganda and what is her issue? If that started coz of her visa woes last year in Aug 2020 when she wrote piece in FT and took to Twitter to outrage on GOI coming out with a universal guideline to shield India from rising cases outside
Outraging on @MEAIndia ‘s decision to place visa restrictions to shield India from rising corona infections overseas, she wrote this piece in FT ft.com/content/2e49d4… -perhaps she thought that her white privilege puts her above Indian Govt! BTW, @ThePrintIndia played ball here!
It is amazing to note the role @ThePrintIndia is playing in amplifying every story that they find anti @narendramodi Govt and did same following @AmyKazmin ‘s piece when @revathii95 without citing names, wrote their sob stories following Indian Govt decision to place restrictions!
But to credit “across the board visa restrictions imposed to shield India from rising corona virus infections” for @AmyKazmin ‘s biased and racist reporting will be an overstatement-she was always like this -read her 1997 paper extract- guess that was her first tenure in mid 90s
Coming back to moment when @AmyKazmin ko @MEAIndia ne gussa dilaaya aur us ko mazboor kiya ki wo FT mein visa restrictions ke against piece likhe aur @revathii95 ko bataye ki kaise other than her white privilege, she pays “taxes in India”-LOL!But how did she pay back? Chk next!
Well, @AmyKazmin retaliated to those Visa restrictions with this @FT story on January 26, 2021, that raised doubts not only over India's vaccine program but also claimed that PM Modi might already have been 'secretly' vaccinated with a foreign dose. ft.com/content/c86afc…
But then @AmyKazmin is gracious enough to not restrict herself to @FT only / she obliges every platform practising nothing but hate for @narendramodi Govt with opinion on quotes on every matter under the Sun- check this
Dear @khalafroula I doubt that u will read this thread. But if u do;consider reflecting on how valid it is for @FT to continue with someone like @AmyKazmin-with such inherent racist hate, bias & disdain for current regime, duly elected by Indian voters-be objective in her reports?
Last but not least, @AmyKazmi integrity demands that u come out clean on this objection by @LisaCurtisDC to ur usage of her quote to manufacture a conclusion, that wasn’t meant to be, in d 1st place!
Dear @khalafroula u hv a job here to do- seek explanations from ur bureau chief
Dear @khalafroula u shud also ask @AmyKazmin her views on this video please as she has concluded in her 1997 paper that “biases against Indian women starts at birth only”
For how long will u continue to give her space to peddle her racist agenda @khalafroula ? Does this mean that @AmyKazmin feels that America with 600000 deaths or UK, a country of 60 million with 160K deaths are feeling great after the tsunami that scarred them?

Yesterday in a clubhouse room about the state of journalism, I mentioned this increasing trend of a section of Indian media/ commentators and journalists linking #JaiShriRam to violent events. It is nothing but a sinister game to create a parallel between JaiShriRam & Ola-o-Uber!
We all men and women who grew up during 80s and 90s associate #JaiShriRam with Hindu resurgence in political spectrum. Yes it became a rallying point for everyone who wanted to undo the historical wrongs inflicted on us for centuries.
Name of Prabhu ShriRam became a rallying point for Hindu unity & resurgence & #JaiShriRam became synonymous with Hindu ethos.
When state police of @yadavakhilesh ‘s dad sprayed bullets on the chest of unarmed RamBhakts, their only weapon before embracing death was #JaiShriRam
Congress time politics of handing out doles gave us bureaucrats, who were so used to getting plum posts that “neither tired, nor retired” used to be the motto of their lives. So they were called NTNRB’s - neither tired nor retired babus. And this list used to be endless!
Came 2014 & common Indians powered another commoner and a rank Lutyen outsider to the top seat of Delhi —-> PM @narendramodi. The babus on the verge of retirement and the NTNRBs were so accustomed to dealing with Cong that an unknown customer was too hot to handle!
But then PM @narendramodi - a firm believer in the integrity of institutions - much to the liking of this strange breed known as bureaucrats, continued to function with congress era bureaucrats. He knew what he was doing but smart asses of Indian babudom saw in him a pliable one!
This tweet by @madhukishwar reminds me of this poem “ The Karma of Immunity “ by Gopi Warrier, talking abt positives of Ayurveda. Everyone attacking Ayurveda following arguments with @yogrishiramdev shud see this. You can’t take on science of life!
So many Docs, in say Britain, think that Lancet is God but so many doctors outside India feel Indian docs are the best in the world and most Indian docs respect Ayurveda. Actually it will be good if firms like @DaburIndia@ZanduCare etc work with docs to help fight propaganda!
Today’s decision by @narendramodi shows how in a sharply polarised polity where @RahulGandhi run Cong/Kejri are in a bottomless pit to make vaccination fail, centralisation alone can work!
Had to delete this tweet as don’t want copyright violation blame - hence screenshot
Time to lighten the TL a bit and share some of my favourite #SongsFrom60s
#SongsFrom60s from 1969 movie Waapas - music composition by Laxmikant Pyarelal
#SongsFrom60s form movie Sambandh, this song was to be originally sung by Mohd Rafi, who arrived 2 hours late. That angered composer OP Naiyar so much that he packed up everything, told producer to charge him for losses & gave the song to Mahendra Kapoor!
Yes, this was a quote from one of the articles that Nirad C Chaudhary wrote for @TheStatesmanLtd on 15 Aug 1994 titled `British Rule is Dead, Long Live British Rule'
And what led Nirad Chaudhary to write this- his experience with his job as clerk of Calcutta Municipal Corporation & his job as Private Secretary of Sarat Chandra Bose, when he was Bengal Congress Chief!
Nirad Chaudhary saw large-scale corruption at Calcutta Municipal Corp. (an org run by Indians with no British interference) & was disenchanted with the machinations of Congress, he saw as Pvt Secy of Bose - which he felt would increase as India would gain independence.
