Thank goodness San Francisco isn’t getting in the way of anybody’s happiness
In 2020, nearly 90,000 people in the U.S. died from drug overdoses or poisonings. In 2000, 17,000 did.

By contrast, just 308 people in the U.S. died from natural disasters, down from 413 in 2019.

San Francisco Drug Overdose Deaths CORRECTED

Note: We are using data from CDC, not the California Electronic Death Registration System (CA-EDRS), to allow comparisons to other cities, except for 2020 data, which comes from the SF Office of Medical Examiner.
San Francisco Drug Overdose Deaths from California Electronic Death Registration System (CA-EDRS), through to 2019.

Numbers are slightly different but same trend.

Solar jobs are in China not US

Largest solar farm in US will create *6* permanent jobs

Solar panels are imported from Xinjiang, China where “forced labor” is used under “genocide” conditions

Democrats are trying to close nuclear plants that employ ~1,200 workers at high pay
To clarify, nuclear plants *directly* employ ~1,200 workers/plant

They tend to be the best-paid energy workers

Solar farms temporarily employ low-wage, low-to-zero skill workers to install China-made panels, and 6-12, also low-wage maintenance workers, permanently

These were the last images I saw before falling asleep

They may explain the dream I just had. It was so terrifying I woke myself up.

My heart is still racing as write this
I was in the passenger seat of a crowded car, a politician who I knew was at the wheel (Pelosi? Breed?). She was happy and chatty, but there were bodies everywhere, some floating in water, and the road became increasingly narrow, curving, and dangerous.

“Stop the car!” I yelled
There was a man lying near the car with his dog

“Somebody help me!” I yelled, and jumped out of the car, but nobody did

I shook the man and yelled at him. “Are you okay?! Are you okay?!” I poked him once and again, harder. I checked his pulse. Nothing

“If you think we are more sexist than before women could vote, you have progressophobia… 18% of Harvard students are black [while 14% of Americans are]. Acknowledging progress isn’t saying, ‘We’re done. Being gloomier doesn’t mean you’re a better person”- Bill Maher
“In 1958 only 4% of Americans approved of interracial marriage. Now Gallup doesn’t even bother asking. But the last time they did, in 2013, 87% approved. An overwhelming majority of Americans now say they want to live in a multiracial neighborhood.”
“Since 2017, white students are not even a majority in our public colleges. Employees of color make up 47% of Microsoft, 50% of Target, 55% of the Gap, as companies become desperate to look like their TV commercials.”

PG&E gave $290k to group run by wife of Calif. Gov. @GavinNewsom in 3 yrs before $21B bail-out, new @sacbee_news investigation finds

“From 2011-18, the nonprofit has paid Siebel Newsom more than $290k/year”

“It’s gross and wrong,” editorializes the Bee

sacbee.com/opinion/editor…
“The Representation Project, a nonprofit founded by First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom received $800k from Pacific Gas & Electric Co., AT&T, Comcast and Kaiser Permanente. In 2015, the year Gavin Newsom announced his run for governor, contributions increased 30% to $1.6M”
“Gov. Newsom isn’t the only Democrat exploiting this glaring loophole….companies with business before the Legislature dished out over $500,000 in donations and event sponsorships to nonprofits tied to Annie Lam, wife of Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon.”

There is a war on nuclear, backed by powerful financial & ideological interests, which threatens us all

We are fighting back, and winning, but time is short

Will you join us?

We are a movement of friends & allies, around the world, standing up for what’s right
The pro-nuclear movement won a major victory by forcing the Biden Administration to take action to save nuclear

“Maintaining our fleet & preventing closures of nuclear plants is critical to achieving emission reduction goals and ensuring a reliable grid”

michaelshellenberger.substack.com/p/biden-goes-n…
Whether or not that particular legislative tactic works, there is growing support in Congress to save nuclear

The only way to save nuclear energy is by telling the truth about the technology, and standing up for nuclear, publicly and passionately.
