Do not miss the bus.
Retirement planning should begin as soon as you start earning. Strange but true.
The real power of compounding works so much better when you start so much early.
And in the equity markets, the law of averaging over a long periods like 15-20 yrs...
works wonderfully well.
So if you start investing in a mutual fund SIP at the age of 25 with only Rs.5000pm, your corpus will be a staggering Rs.3.21Cr at the age of 60. ( Assumed 12% annualized return).
If you start at 30, that will be 1.75cr
At 35 = 94 lacs
At 40 = 49 lacs..
At 45 = 25 lacs
At 50 = 11 lacs
At 55 = 4 lacs.
Shocking difference in the size of final corpus with seemingly small difference in the age when you start saving.
So pay yourself first. Select either a good actively managed equity fund or simpler an Index fund ...
and start the auto debit SIP.
Plus regularly contribute to either PPF/ELSS and NPS. The latter being a pension plan will pay you very well after you turn 60.
Forego some wants, instead invest small amounts regularly to build your net-worth...
During this journey of Retirement nest building, you will pass the usual milestones of having kids, their education, both school & college, marriage which can be taken care of.
Enjoy both the journey and the destination.
Will you still wait to turn 40 before you start saving regularly?
This is specially for my very young friends who have just started earning.
Thanks for your time to read this.
Happy investing.
P.S: Day trading is gambling. Sure way to become a millionaire, from a billionaire.
I will be glad even if this thread inspires even a single person to do this.
Sadly no retirement loan is available. You will be what you have saved. One exception is reverse mortgage which most Indians will not like.
Angler fish:female is 40 times the size of the male. Her goals in life include not moving much, murder, and attempting to lure a male partner to procreate.
The males look almost nothing like the female Angler Fish. Not only are they much smaller,
they sport huge eyes and nostrils that help in locating her through the darkness. Once the female has been found, the male will swim up to her and bite down on some part of her body. From this point forward he will never let go for the rest of his life..
He has now transitioned into a parasite, taking in nutrients directly through the female and her blood stream. His mouth, eyes, and face will fuse into the female's skin and he will essentially become a tumor on her side..
Pig's sex lasts from 5 to 20 minutes and the average volume of semen is 250 ml with maximum being 400 ml.
Humans produce 1.25-5ml. #funtrivia
the Blue whale sports on average a 7-foot, 10-inch penis. Now granted, the penis is pretty thin in comparison to most penises. Its diameter is somewhere between 12-14 inches, but it weights around 400 to 900 lbs...
That is literally enough dcik to kill a man if it fell on him. That's not all! Supporting the massive man killing penis, are two 100-pound testicles that can pump out an impressive 5 gallons of semen during climax..
My fav animal Octopuses are older than dinosaurs, they have blue blood, and they have three hearts.
Octopuses not only have eight arms, they can also regrow them, so they honestly don’t care too much about losing limbs...
Anyway, octopuses regularly rip off their arms for whatever reason. Some of these floating Cthulhu heads will literally disarm themselves to distract a predator so they can escape. Octopuses don’t even have to worry about nicking an artery,
as they can apparently close it off to reduce blood loss. Octopuses usually sever their limbs by biting them off. Some, however, don’t spit it out later. in octopuses, one of their tentacles is the penis...
Spirit is woven of sinew and mind of marrow. The body is the place, the only place, where we live — it is where we experience time, it is where we heal from emotional trauma, it is the seat of consciousness, without which there is nothing.
And yet we spend our lives turning away from this elemental fact-with distraction, with addiction, with the trance of busyness — until suddenly something beyond our control — a diagnosis, a heartbreak, a pandemic — staggers us awake.
We remember the body, this sole and solitary arena of being. The instant we remember to reverence it we also remember to mourn it, for we remember that this living miracle is a temporary miracle-
My experience with Atonic PPH:
Can write this with a bit of conviction and confidence after spending years tending to postpartum uteri.
The traditional teaching is empty uterus ceases to bleed. Meaning we have been taught to clear out everything from it......
Placental fragments, membranes, and clots. Fine. But when faced with Atonic PPH, I changed my tactic which is counter intuitive. After a vaginal delivery, if the PPH is present, I institute all the usual measures like uterotonics- methergin, syntocinon, PG's.....
Once in control and if I don't see alarming flow with fairly contracted uterus, I simply let go. Do not keep on digging out/expel the clots from uterus. Clots are our friend. Nature is trying to help us. Once we dislodge them, fresh bleeding will ensue, continuing the cycle...
Good Morning. This is a bit long thread. For my young doctors. #MedTwitter

1) If you're planning to take up or are in this profession to make crazy money, you are in a wrong place. 2) You will eventually make enough to sustain a comfortable, debt free life provided you live within your means and invest wisely...
3) No loans except your home loan or to start your hospital. Buy a car you can afford without a loan. 4) Credit cards are like friends. Take their obligation judiciously cos ultimately you have to pay, mostly with interest if you miss the deadline...
