I've over 6+ years of experience in Web development now.

Here is what you need to know about
• CODE
• NOCODE
• LOWCODE

No matter if you are building your product or starting your career. Read this 👇

// Thread 🧵
First, let's start with a short and sweet definition

➜ Code - Build applications using HTML, CSS, and Javascript from scratch

➜ Lowcode - Use some tools that generate the code for you

➜ Nocode - No coding knowledge required, use a visual builder to build an application
How does Nocode help?

➜ Quickly evaluate your ideas

➜ The learning curve is less as no coding knowledge is required

➜ Build MVP's in days ( Reduce time to market )
Wow, it sounds good, But where do I start from?

Here is how I learned all by myself. It's easy even you can do it.

It's one the best thread 👇
How do I decide what to build?

➜ Try to take baby steps by solving your own problem using nocode

I build a nocode solution to solve my own problem and landed up being the #4 and #7 product of the day on @ProductHunt🏆

What does Lowcode mean?

➜ Tools help you generate the code so that you don't need to start from scratch

➜ Easy to customize it further via custom coding, choose this for more freedom

➜ Save a lot of development time and cost.
😍 Fun Facts about Lowcode

➜ By 2024, low-code application development will be responsible for more than 65% of application development activity. - Gartner

➜ Between 2018 – 2023, more than 500 million apps will be created. That’s more than the previous 40 years combined🤩
➜ The global low-code development platform market is predicted to generate a revenue of $187 billion by 2030. It was $10 billion in 2019 - GlobeNewswire

Lowcode development is going to boom in the coming years and yes having coding knowledge will be a big win here 🚀
Some cool things I build with Lowcode

(Note: Ignore the first example from this thread it was built with nocode rest are lowcode)

Even you can build it if you have basic coding knowledge.

Do I really need to learn coding then?

Well, I have over 6+ years of experience working with code, I still think having coding knowledge will help you build a scalable application

➜ You will be unstoppable If you have knowledge of code and nocode
➜ All your problems cannot be solved with nocode, you will need to code at some point.

➜ Nocode is your sports bike 🏍 while code is your car! 🚗 You can go to your destination with both of them.

➜ Moving to nocode from code is quite easy & you will learn it in no time.
But It doesn't mean that you can't scale your startup with nocode,

Here is an inspiring example of how @KarthikS2206 scaled his business to $2 million in revenue running on nocode.

But what if I'm from non-technical background?

Don't worry at all,

➜ Nocode tools are easier to use and have a shorter learning curve.

➜ Most of the problem can be solved with nocode

Remember 👇
Still confused on what to choose?

⭐ Code: Good for career, scaling business

⭐ Lowcode: Save hours by not starting from scratch

⭐ Nocode: Build MVP's to evaluate your ideas, If it's getting more traction and you want to scale you can always switch back to code
Is Nocode going to take my job away?

No No No No,

Agreed that it has got lots of benefits but at the end of the day in order to build nocode tools you need to code and Devs are the ones who will be in demand

It will help developers to save time, It won't cut down the job
With the boom of the internet, the opportunities got to keep flowing. The truth is that there will be more and more jobs created instead.

If you are into coding career, don't panic at all. the future is bright! ☀️ Keep learning and stay upto date with all technologies.
Few questions to ask yourself before choosing between code, nocode, and lowcode:

1. Do I just need to build MVP?
2. How much time do I have?
3. Do I need more customization?
4. Do I need scalability and performance right from the beginning?
*Conclusion:*

1. If you are from a coding background, explore nocode part-time and build side projects, don't completely switch to nocode

2. If you are non-technical, start taking baby steps in nocode by solving your own problem

3. Pick nocode over code to validate faster

⭐️ Thinking of what to do?

It's always better to do something in your expertise, so I thought to curate a list of nocode tools that would help people build things faster.

+ I also wanted to bring awareness to be people around me about nocode tools and how they are helpful.
