Sydney 🇦🇺 #DeltaVariant outbreak growing—NSW recorded another surge of #COVID19 cases—16 new infections recorded overnight. There are now 37 cases linked to the Bondi (shopping mall) cluster that had the “fleeting” exposure cases. Lockdown now considered.

3) Fleeting can’t be true? Yes it can. We have both security camera CCTV footage as well as genomic 🧬 sequencing to prove it.
4) Sydney imposing travel restriction out of the city. It’s being closed off to outside (Wuhan memories coming back). Mask mandates too - though why the hell are workplaces exempted from masks?!?!

Brazil and Russia seeing fresh waves of cases. Brazil counted a record number of new cases of #COVID19 on Thursday, while Russia, with high #DeltaVariant cases, saw its highest tally since late January. Both only 10-11% fully vaccinated.
