I never invest in biz's w/ a middle man (FBA, IG biz)
Platforms all eventually move to control.
Never let anyone get between you and your users.
But I did it in this business. #fail

We had @mailchimp, @SendFox & @WordPress as 3 segments for Contrarian Thinking 😱
Duplicative but protective.

Substack page conversions to subs was 10x less than our custom page.
It's not fancy but every Silicon Valley Larry's Substack looks the same.

The reason: we promoted a paid product that they didn’t get a cut of that was not located on Substack.
Had no idea they required absolute exclusivity or they’d kick you off w/o notice.
